ame voted something smart after saying she would not lynch anyone other than me or rcenigma, which was then narrowed to only rcenigma. isis hammered something smart without questioning ame's vote. ame did not question isis's doing so despite having just scumread me for saying i wanted to hammer jake. neither of them seemingly scumread something smart the most and neither of them have seemed to gain any knowledge from the lynch they orchestrated other than something smart's alignment. then they just went back to voting rcenigma. and now ame is self-voting and saying town is fractured which seems to be the situation she intentionally created?

this simply does not feel right.

i do not believe this to be true but it returns so many results that it is hard to accurately determine without a lot of effort. it does quickly become apparent that the phrase is frequently used by certain players when thumbing through the first ten or so pages of results though.

this is part of the difficulty in evaluating the results, as they must first be sorted. from the little i've looked at i think it skews more towards frustrated town than self-conscious scum. but again, this study would take a lot of time to do accurately so my thoughts on this aren't any better than yours, possibly worse if you've spent more time researching it.

Actually, I suppose I lied. I did anticipate a couple of days ago that if I voted S_S, town!Isis would hammer. I had forgotten that at the time I voted, however. I know this sounds strange, but it is the truth. It's as if there are two of me sometimes: Ame the player and Ame the observer. The observer was aware that Isis would hammer. The player was not.

I don't think it reflects negatively on her alignment because I think S_S is someone that Isis would be OK eliminating from the pool. I also town read the rest of her play. In particular, I don't think scum!pops would be comfortable enough joking about not being able to use the scum PT. I also think 273 is genuine. And 274 comes off as coming from a solve-oriented and slightly frustrated townie (which again is why I interpret her hammer as natural). Additionally, her case on Jake was nuanced in a way that I also believe comes from a solve-oriented mind.

People get hung up on why any one particular scum indicative psyche or school of thought renders it scum indicative, then point out that view is less then 50% likely, but when you add all the explanations together they outweigh town motivations, generally

there have been similar lolhammers from scum in each of my two most recently completed games. eve's hammer in hungarian mafia 2 is the most direct analog. ame was eve's partner.
