Fine. I've been looking at populartajo's posts in isolation and feel that he would be an acceptable substitute for today. This is for posts both before and after the greasy-wagon. I'm going to bed now and don't have time to outline the case but if anything has eventuated when I check back I'll get onboard. I'm not gonna unvote right now so as to not risk a deadline in my absense. In a permanent state of Limited Access. I'll understand if I'm replaced in my current games.-

I must admit I agree with him.Dasquian wrote:I am not onboard with any course of action that might cost us our lynch.
Nor am I onboard with any course of action that puts a potential cop or doctor in the noose 30 minutes before deadline.
RUSH-LYNCHES ARE BAD NEWS FOR THE TOWN. I cannot stress this enough.
In particular, let's not lynch unless the person gets to claim. It may be obvious, but by saying it, scum won't be able to get away saying "oh sorry, but you see, we were in such a hurry...".All lurkers unite! And jump off the nearest cliff. Now.-

"Oh sorry, but you see, this is just stupid". Scum are already on this wagon. If by some chance scum are not involved then I don't want to be here anyway.lord_hur wrote:

Well, I was talking about switching to another person. And I'm not as positive as you on the number of scum involved in your wagon. One seems reasonable, but two ? Much less likely taking my previous experience into account.Greasy Spot wrote:

I'm back. Nothing seems to have occured in my absense. Greasy seems a foregone conclusion. Leaving vote where it is. In the meantime, I'm not lining up lynches or anything but pop, 207 does nothing to instill confidence in me of your townie status...In a permanent state of Limited Access. I'll understand if I'm replaced in my current games.-

It's never too late when a player is as scummy as populartajo has been recently.

We still have 4 players that aren't even voting.
We can do this.Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

I'll be around. I can switch if need be. I wasn't even voting GS to begin with, so that doesn't change anything.
Don't worry, I'll be around at deadline.
The non-voters should vote populartajo.
At least we'll have an alternative.Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

Greasy Spot will vote populartajo. Pop will have two votes, including mine.
Nightson, Lord Hur, Vel-Rahn Koon, Patrick can pick between pop's 2-vote wagon and GS 4-vote wagon.Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

It's not about being able to do it, it's about it being aterrible fucking idea. What if populartajo is a power-role who is forced by the mod to false-claim to get his powers? What if he claims this in 18 hours time? Who will unvote then, with 5 hours to deadline?
What if he is that roleand doesn't log in in the next 23 hours?

Rush-lynches aren't bandwagons that appear quickly. They're bandwagons that appear out of desperation at the end of a deadlined day.Greasy Spot wrote:Dasquian wrote:...this isn't a rush-lynch.

I'd also like anyone entertaining the idea of a rush-lynch to read this game here:
http://www.mafiascum.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7874
Eight fucking hoursbefore the deadline of day 1, a few townies managed to dismantle the highly-informative L-1 wagon on a townie (which had scum on it) and reconstruct a 4-person bandwagon on the tracker (which had only townies on it and which hardly anyone, including all the scum, had had chance to comment on one way or the other).QUACK-

That was bbbbbadddd luck. How informative do you think GS's wagon is?Dasquian wrote:...before the deadline of day 1, a few townies managed to dismantle the highly-informative L-1 wagon on a townie (which had scum on it) and reconstruct a 4-person bandwagon on the tracker (which had only townies on it and which hardly anyone, including all the scum, had had chance to comment on one way or the other).Paraphrasing a role PM takes seconds, fabricating a good fakeclaim takes an eternity.

More than populartajo's will be.
Greasy Spot's bandwagon has now been debated and defended against for a good week or so, and tells a fair amount about myself and others on the bandwagon, and you and others who have chosen not to be on the bandwagon (at this point at least).
If populartajo gets run up in the next day or so, you may very well only be able to draw conclusions on the few people who got in in time to drop their votes on him, and if scum happen just not to be online in the next 23 hours or so - free pass for them! For the record, I think populartajo's claiming is not a good reason to vote for him because it makes no sense for him to do that as scum.
The rush-lynch in Mini 578 was not bad luck (though granted, that game was different in that it allowed half-majority lynches at deadline). It was stupidity. Let's not "get unlucky" here too.QUACK
