I'm just posting to let you know I'm keeping an eye on BM's ISO for when he finishes catching up.

I did skim the most recent posts here. I might reply with something short if you scream at me really loud. Other than that I'm going to be prodging and waiting for BM's catch up. I'll start posting content again when he's finished.
...why?
I agreed with you that I was playing bad and that I would be a good policy lynch. I can see how lynching me could be the best play for town. I wasn't in the mood to keep repeating my noob claim. I also wanted to remove myself from the game to see if that would help bring any clarity.

I'm all caught up I think, please read all my posts, and then agree to sheep me as I lynch Gobbledygook-scum.

I literally just finished a newbie game where we won as town, on Day 2. We lynched the lurkiest players on Day 1 and Day 2 - both were scum. Every other player was active, and town.

I'm pretty strong on Sleepersoul, but I'm comfortable lynching Gobbles until someone can answer my repeated challenge to prove that his lurking is not AI.

Midway, you have failed to do this, as has Votato I believe?

it's different here because gibus and poyzin both had content to evaluate. Gobble doesn't.
How about you let him talk before trying to power a wagon on him.

on the contrary, the main reason they were lynched was because everyone else was posting and actively scumhunting from the start, and acting pro-town, and therefore by PoE, the two players who had been relatively quiet, were the sneaky scum.

I'm literally not stopping him from talking, but I don't want him to get away with not doing so because:

A. If he's scum, ignoring him because he's lurking significantly reduces our chances of hitting scum today.
B. If he's town, he won't have any grip on game, but most importantly we won't have any read on him, and he will be a total blindspot. I'd much rather have players with content I can evaluate surviving to Day 2.

If Gobbles is town at the moment, we're essentially handicapped. I don't buy that he does this as town here. Not in a million years.

Prove me wrong?

If you post very rarely, or only post a little bit at a time, you may get scumread for lurking.
Even if you are not scumread for it, what's the fun in playing a game where multiple people are hardly participating?
even the Mod thinks GG is scum.

I've re-assessed BM, and I once again think he is scummy. Seems to be opportunisticly jumping around on the low hanging fruit. That push on GG is very strange to me. If he wants to policy lynch, policy lynch me. Although I agree now that with only 9players, policy lynches aren't aren't worth it. Seems like he could be trying to pocket me?

His approach to this game doesn't feel like town to me.

One guess at a possible explanation (to me) for his behaviour is that he was mad that my initial gut read on him was correct... Considering that he hasn't been lynched as mafia in 10 years. Gut reads can be frustrating. I don't want to fan any flames, though. I just want to lynch mafia.

How do you know the way I would play as scum?

He still hasn't answered this question as far as I can tell.

^This just seems like such a stretch.... Someone who hasn't been lynched as mafia in 10 years is posting this? Really weird IMO.

As far as town reads, I really like GWu's posts today. He was also one of my earliest town reads.

Also, my intention with the GG vote was to try to trap scum, and BM took the bait. Not sure how AI that should be, but it's a little AI to me. It's AI if I'm trusting my crystal ball again, and at this point I'm more confident about my BM read based on his stretching.

midway is the only person defending gg - based on his completely unfounded claims that gg is town. coincidence? as a matter of fact, i very certain that's the only thing midway has answered/spoken about "emphatically" is an inactive player. in addition, he hasn't answered any questions that votato and i, as well as a few others, have asked repetitively. that's wicked scummy!

bm makes a compelling argument about getting rid of GG, but i don't agree that we should policy lynch someone based on zero participation only. i think we should focus on those who are active and scummy and not those who we have a hunch about. midway wagon anyone?

I reread Apogee's ISO, and I really like it. With new eyes, I'm town reading him for his earlier pressure on me. And his content today makes a lot of sense.

So my scum reads from strongest to weakest are:

BM
Midway
Votato
GG

p-edit: I haven't really thought about the pair of them that much.... They are just my strongest reads individually.

When I think about who would pair with BM, I start thinking that "he knows that I know that he knows that I know" ad infinitum, and all the scenarious seem like WIFOM.

I do agree that gobbledygook has been posting a lot of activity posts.
I also checked his profile and it says that he has been posting on other forums during the time he claimed he was sick.

I kinda think this is a bit suspicious.

That IS suspicious! That kinda bumps up GG as more scum than votato for me. But I haven't ISOed votato in a while.

I would feel better about that if he told us that was the reason why. If he's posting in other games, it's super easy to say "the other games I'm in are taking up all my attention and effort right now" or whatever.

Yes, I would like an explanation from him too. But it is not really reasonable to run up a wagon on him like BM did which is why BM lost some town points to me.
