And mind you, everyone, I'm not a HUGE fan of "townblocs" in general, and I would be scolding Hoopla for this one as well (like I did last game ), but I think this is just how they play as town and they need it either for solving or entertainment purposes.
Me being a part of this bloc of Hoopla this time around is neither here nor there.

I WILL be calling out Hoopla if I smell scum on that bloc, but so far they have at least been more reserved with how they include people in.
And one good example of them doing better than what I was afraid of - notscience not being included in their latest townreads just because they have a "solid townread" on Hoopla.
I'm not saying they've outright become a scumread for me, but they are definitely teetering on the edge..

Without post links, lazy me won't look the posts up, so most of it I didn't know what you're talking about. I don't recall defending popo's lurkiness; I think I'll have to see the context there. I guess I could have. The other posts I don't know what you're getting at because I haven't looked them up yet. And the thing about not moving my vote after voting for Hoopla, whatever. I think I had two real votes after RVS yesterday. One on you and one one Hoopla. You made some post about how I was moving around, and when I pointed out that I wasn't, you clarified and said that I was "spewing reads" or "spewing town reads" I think as if that was a bad thing. So I really don't know what you're on about.

Is that really scummy? It suggests he isn't afraid of making enemies or being OMGUSed either.



Fun fact: As a jester, I once made it my mission to scumread as many people as possible and was scumreading 80% of the players on day 1. It ended up making me universally townread for that day phase..

I actually agree with RFS on the general point, but with me specifically, I was doing neither of the things you describe. In fact, I've told you a couple of times now that I only placed two votes after rvs, and I certainly didn't scum read a bunch of people the entire day, let alone the first half.

OK, I can see that. The background here is that we JUST finished another game where Hoopla did this exact same thing, and they were town.
And that game they scumread me until I was confirmed as town, while I was one of the few who were able to see the towniness in their actions.

This time, I didn't read them as scum either, per se, until that wagon formed and I joined out of "don't know what else to do anymore".
Everything they posted after that just made me feel more like I was in the right spot.

I'm fine with admitting that it felt like the "next best wagon" after Hoopla claimed. And mainly because people had already started to group up there.
Hoopla felt like the only reasonable lynch yesterday after everything that had transpired, and once that was denied, I honestly didn't care too much.

You going on a "holier than thou" -path here doesn't do anything for town though.

1. It seemed like what hoopla didn't want us to do. She's clever though.
2. I didn't like the indignant way he responded to my comment on him earlier, it seems scum indicative
3. Going after lurkers is awesome, in a day phase or two you have nothing left but active players which means better dayplay

i hope everybody slept well and is feeling rejuvinated. i see it seems ol' hoopla must have slept in and you've all begun without me. no matter, i'll join the chatter posthaste.

i must say, while i was tossing and turning in bed last night, i had these awful dreams i was going to be knocked off. i awoke drenched in sweat; confused i was alive, though thankful.

i fear mafia are going to try and frame ol' hoopla on d3 (perhaps with a roleblock tonight?) and there is simply nothing i can do but watch my painful death unfold in slow-mo. the sickos!

i agree with the townie who commented on this being a weird kill. this does imply a comfortable scumteam, kicking back sipping lemonade while the town looks in all the wrong places.

i'll be around today to reorganize my reads... but where is my coffee?
