You're not supposed to claim anything at the start of the game unless you have a reason to do so
I know this is the case for power roles, as you do not want mafia to kill you early and want to get use out of your powers, but I think it is okay if I claim since it would not matter if I died on one of the earlier nights.

I do think to some degree, subconsciously self aware scum can't differentiate between scumplay and responding to NAI questions, which could cause them to lie unnecessarily.
