Okay everyone the theme is Country this week. Please have your submissions to me by 4pm PDT/7pm EDT on Saturday. I'm giving you an extra day since a number of us were sick and/or feeling our voices were tired, but be sure to manage your time and communicate with me if that doesn't work :)

Ari checking in to say that I am absolutely not surprised by this. I can't believe I made it this far when compared with the other voices and personalities int his competition! You are all fantastic and I mean that! I expected to be out long ago. I absolutely loved being able to do this though! The opportunity was fantastic and I've enjoyed every bit of it!

Congrats to the dual-winners! You both slayed!
But then again, so did everyone this round! I was so impressed!

Also, damn. I could have killed Country! I used to be really into it and know far too many pieces for anyone's own good :P

Thanks for all the pointers Malkon and Lil, and thanks to everyone who has been putting themselves out there in this! It's amazing to
see
hear! <3

Also I find it almost comical that this thing started off with "You really know how to pick the right songs for your voice" and what eventually did me in was 2 weeks of "that was
NOT
the right song choice" XD

Errata:

-My original pick was I Need a Hero by Bonnie Tyler. She kinda yells for a lot of that song, and it was hard to keep up with. I considered going low for that song too, but it didn't sound as good as going low for I Will Survive.
-Rolling In the Deep was on my shortlist! Flubber, you did great with it.
-Sorry to see you go, Aris! I'll miss your entries. You were the only one brave enough to go on camera (so far)!
-Hellfire was a very fun choice and that last note was awesome, lilith
-Not sure what it is, but Mina's voice sounds especially great on the minor notes of Still Loving You

So I started watching that Eurovision movie on Netflix because Khan said it was good, and that's when I realized that Eurovision contestants perform
original
songs and not covers like I thought. So I looked up the most famous Eurovision songs and I have heard exactly one of them, and I have heard that song like maybe once before in my entire life. Soooooooo assuming we have to do a Eurovision-themed round at some point, that is not gonna be easy.

If I was a European contestant I'd pick it just to screw over everyone else
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?

I would then choose to do a mash up of Waterloo and Volare so no one else could pick them

I hope our having different ranges means it's not the superfamous country hit besides Country Roads I was thinking of doing for similar reasons!

The more time I spend scouring YouTube for something off the beaten path, the likelier it seems I'll wind up defaulting to my original boring idea.

i mean there's no shame. the more the merrier. i was going to try and actively recruit people to country roads until i realised i couldn't comfortably hit the highest note (and no other note! i can do the entire rest of the song! pure bollocks!)

I have submitted a non-Country Roads song, and I am
very
not worried about somebody else picking the same song.

It would have been funny to have five versions of [REDACTED], but I
think
I have a better option right now, assuming I can pull this off.

i wanted to do falling out by ween since that's, like, the only non-super-mainstream country(?) song I know but it's another one I can't really comfortably do.
