i don't really think it's so bad to mostly play the game in thread? the only reason to have private discussions in this setup is if you wanted to air out ideas that you weren't sure should be in the main thread (like super secret scum reads or just if you want a second opinion from someone before you most some inane rant about how you've spent all day googling "evil seals" and you're now convinced lady 6 is scum for reasons) or you just want to talk to your partner without it flooding the game thread

And actually it makes us a great pair because if we can manage to get people to look past the controlled and unemotional way that we both play then the reads on us will uniformly improve, since having similarly read people paired is important. It wouldn't have been nearly so worthwhile for us to defend each other if we hadn't been paired together.

I trust you and L5. In fact, I suggested L5 should be the endgame player.

I trust L6 and I trust how L6 reads G3.

I trust L7, but I'm not sure how much I trust G1 right now.

I'm not sure how to feel about G6-L1.

I think all of G9-L3, G5-L8, and G4-L2 have the potential to contain scum. The first two I lean scum in the gentlemen, the latter one I lean the lady being scum.

Shouldn't endgame:

Gentleman 5 - Lady 8
Gentleman 4 - Lady 2

These are pretty much my final thoughts. Gent 5 and Gent 9 are terrible here. Lady 2 looks underwhelming.

"VCA" is kind of weak with 2 scum alive in 16 players though, plus a self-vote

(admittedly, part of the reason i'm not throwing my vote around is because i think there's probably more information to be gained from any wagon that goes through without my participation, but i wouldn't put that under the category of "VCA" and it also doesn't explain the self-vote)

No one is voting our pair and no one is moving off our pair. It's permanently stuck at six or seven votes and other wagons are being completely ignored.

It's because I pushed him instead of Lady 4, and that means I was pushing the weakest link. But I talked about how that's not even scummy, and that it makes sense for me to be pushing who I believe to be scum
