I played as scum in a 5 man team. D1 we bussed 1 scum, and then consequently heavened 2 people. We needed 1 moe but after that we got screwed by associations. It’s a hard setup for scum so i’m assuming they will try to muddy associations. Town should just play like town, not much difference there.

I did some reading of the setup and I am thinking during heaven phase we should be careful with e-1 since scum will have incentive to self-hammer.

Some stronger town players intentionally stayed behind in that game, refusing to be heavened because they wanted to be in the game thread and solve. That’s a good town strategy right there.

I'm between Norwegian and Isis.

Gun to my head, i think i’d feel safest heavening one of Clidd/Isis because they are still my TR’s.
Would like more time before i decide anything though.

I think the wagon has 2-3 scum on it and off wagon has 0-1 scum.
Mainly due to the pace in which we achieved that lynch, I just highly doubt that as a town we were able to mislynch that fast while I am the only town off wagon. That would raise the question of, is both GC and Walter scum together and happened to be off wagon? And I think the very simple answer to that question is no.

Issue is all 3 scum likely aren't on the wagon together which would mean voting off the wagon not considering my self would be a 50/50 which is actually worse odds then just voting on wagon.

My thing that balances out Isis tone is that she has a singular post after I vote Walter day start that says she is fine doing it. When voting walter was the stupidest thing I've done all game. I know I also fucked this up but something something deluxe oil :^)

I think Walter is shifting in and outside of this thread in a way akin to scum. He proceeds to hold me as a top town read but votes in Isis instead which feels like an awful idea to me. Maybe from the perspective of Isis where she knows she is town that would be a better look. But even when I imagine Isis as town it's just a vote on a townie that will never amount to anything. It's incredibly weird actually and he should die next.

I will try to be on more for next phase.

I'm skimming so I may have missed some of the reasoning why, but I'm unsure how I got above Hayasaka here while having made 0 posts in between.

Isis/Hayasaka are still my top two town reads after finishing reading D1

I lean towards heavening Isis. I am closer to 100% confidence on Hayasaka than I am on Isis so heavening Isis is slightly better fmpov. I'm also more suspicious of slots that are like "I don't really wanna go to heaven but I guess I will ladada" than Isis who is just like "yeah I wanna go to heaven."

clidd seems vaguely towny maybe? I need to read more of D2 but I think it's better for judgement day if we're sending townies we think want to go and solve from heaven.

As for Isis, I think walls upon walls is a good scum tactic but recognize that posting style isn't a sure-fire scum tell.

btw yes walls can be a good scum tactic in that a lot of people like to look at walls and lazily assign them as town because *effort* = town or something

but I think timing and motivation count a lot here

specifically Isis coming back in after she had already been posting a lot and the thread had died down early D1 to do a catch up post on things she hadn't responded to leans towny timing and motivation to me. It wasn't an organized reads list or like "hey everyone here is everything I've learned now, I am town and have good make sense progression," it just seemed to be Isis having more thoughts about the game and wanting to get them out there

the surface level slight doesn't have legs. I think you're scum. I think scum would WIFOM a teammate into their heaven pool. Because I can't figure out who that'd be between clidd and Dann, the safe play is to not have either of them go to heaven. There are other good heaven candidates.

I think the last run of this setup started with a D1 town hell and a D2 scum heaven and town ended up winning

But it needs to be a slot that probably isn't getting helled otherwise

Hectic used some mental triggers of connection with me when he approached our past experiences in common, which also gave me a nostalgia. He probably knows how I think and knows how to intentionally produce town signs or impressions that I would capture, but I don't see what he would gain from mentioning it. For a moment, if I closed my eyes and stopped considering what I was considering, some of the things he said make sense, but then I would have to go into his pov to see that (which would be ignoring the impressions/personal interpretations that I had). I would say that due to the strange mixture of sensations he is a townlean at the moment.

Looking at walter's completed games doesn't really change my mind on his slot

he seems much more proactive than this as town. He seems like he's waiting for something and I don't really understand why he's not pushing anywhere given he's like the defacto choice to hell today. He's shaded Cthulua and says GC vs. Cthulu isn't SvT. He's also shaded norwee, but there's no attempt to actually pressure these slots or sort them. It’s hard for me to make sense of the events on this day with the current info given. Ironically i almost would have preferred a scum in heaven today because then i’d know what to look for. i don't like his series of posts where he throws shade on basically everyone who isn't in play for today. he went from being a pretty quiet player not rocking the boat, and now he's exploded with deep state theories, pointing to a somewhat consensus town block as where the thread should look for today (clidd/isis/dann/gc) rather than the "low-hanging fruit."

idk, Cth and Walter don't feel like low hanging fruit, they just look like the good candidates for scum. i don't know why town wouldn't focus our attention there, where there's a higher likelihood of scum in a fewer number of players. given the better chance at hitting scum between Cth/Walter, rather than looking at the other 5 players, i think it's AI to try to get the thread to look away from the smaller scumpool.

Well, Norwee probably went into this day phase thinking I'd be hard pushing him, going by my tunnel yesterday, so it could be a little risky. Although, a lot of others were thinking GC was town yesterday, so he might've assumed I didn't have enough support to get the hell through. I think it makes sense as distancing if his demon buddy isn't someone who's at risk of getting helled today, like Walter, because then they're kinda just writing off him. If Walter is town, then Norwee + Green Crayons would make more sense.

@Cth in that case, who would be the third scum if you don't think I, norwee and GC are a scum team?

I think the scumteam is something along the line of Norwee, Dann, and another of either you or GC.
If you were both tvt then it would be dann norwee and one of my trs. Maybe but that does not seem likely unless it is isis.

Seems to have flipped reads on norwee from earlier in unsure of connection there. But norwee has only appeared in cth's history on ctrl F way more recently.

I went through GC ,there is nothing associative that stands out except for less posts on mine and Norwee's slot.
Possible scum avoidance but nothing too conclusive.
