Now that I’ve gotten BEF’s response I at least feel like I’ve gotten everything I need, but I’d still like jjh to come in and give thoughts before I reveal what my plan was. I won’t be holding off more than the 12 hours I stated already though (as long as I remember to reveal it then)

Nobody's seriously floating no elim as an option.

The situation is this:

Hayasaka is probably town and is proven to be the gladiator.
DoctorPepper is either scum (he isn't) or he's vengeful town.

We vote out DoctorPepper to confirm the venge claim; that much isn't really being debated.

Flavor Leaf claims to be a double voting medium; his first vote roleblocks its target that night, and his second vote marks its target to be added to his medium chat, should that target be daykilled.

There's no question his second vote will be on DoctorPepper, since Haya's never getting voted here; the issue is the first vote. He was thinking he would have to vote and thus roleblock Haya to ensure the medium on DoctorPepper; however, no elim appears to be a voting option under Haya's gladiate. Given that, it's almost unquestionably better for FL to vote no elim first and DoctorPepper second, leaving Haya free to use whatever night action he has while DrP still gets medium chat.

Town, I'm shooting NM. I'm a bit worried that the optimal scum play in this situation was to be quiet and allow town discussion to revolve around the venge and not other means of scum hunting.

Too many games I played as town where I tunneled another player and scum was in the background being complacent because they weren't suspected.

My twilight statement is for town to analyze whoever was not actively participating in day 2 for tomorrow's Elim.

I mean sure go for Gamma but I'm worried that this fight allows scum to just stay in the background while town implodes

I assume you are talking about this part of 1959.

I think we had enough talk about the venge and everything else about today. We already have 3 (and it could be argued undeeded atm) claims from people not in the duel today iirc (FL, VMP and Gamma).

Straying now from the concrete info your flip and the venge flip will give us only muddies the water. Sorry, if I don't want to go deeper today but the focus isn't there.

I didn't think about FL's ability when I asked about the self hammer. I have no problem waiting on that. He can V1 Haya or V1 No Fade and V2 you. What's the problem with that or whatever he wants.

Barring the double vote, I don't 100% believe the rest of his claim and even if he is lying about the 2nd part it isn't AI for FL.

in tarot, the arcana have both a positive and a negative meaning depending on which way they're flipped (tarot readings are weirdly complicated but whatever)

based on that it's entirely possible for gamma's claim to be true... but then, is d&d's role based on the negative interpretation and gamma's on the positive? or vice versa? are all the scum roles this way, or is it just a one off, or is gamma full of shit and this entire line of questioning is moot

I believe so but haven't checked

Anyway I have the responses from everyone, so let me give the scoop on what I'm thinking.
I think FL had the absolute worst reaction to my gambit. I was expecting scum to either deflect from NM onto me, or possibly express indifference. I was not expecting, but totally see as a scum play, for someone to deflect to Amphy over me or NM. I also think Amphy's reaction (Along with tris and Hayasaka) was raw town. So I very much distrust FL's motives. I also think jjh is town for his critical mechanical evaluation of me, plus something else not connected to the gambit. VMP I think is town mostly because of non-gambit stuff, specifically interactions with D&D (which tbh isn't that strong of a point but I still feel like their interactions weren't partnery), but I think the thru-line for their thought process is visible and doesn't look staged or manufactured (essentially I don't agree with Mars' thinking but I see where certain things come from). BEF and Kaname had pretty alright reactions but I'd vote them out before any of {Amphy, tris, Haya, jjh, VMP}.

So my scumreads are FL is my legit strongest, NM for probable partner, possibly one of BEF/Kaname if either of FL or NM flips town
