Full transparency - I'm still not sure what to think.

Obviously can't quote the PMs between me and the mod, but the way things went, there's still a chance that Nep is scum and got super lucky.
I got an answer from the mod saying (in my own words obv. but the message is the same): "all the night-results have been resolved according to the Natural action resolution, and I've received and confirmed your action"
Then it took multiple hours for the game to actually be paused.

We then get one replacement (?) - that slot then RETRACTS their claim - and now "Nep has seen me visit them".

It's awfully convenient, but I feel like the timeline is off from my PoV.
I wouldn't be surprised if Zombie was scum, and it was just something regarding their role (?).
Nep might be their teammate, and took advantage of the pause.
Scum!Tracker might've seen me visit them, and panicked at the start of the day when I was adamant about them claiming.
Scum!Zombie might've thought their claim would be thought of as towny, once Nep flips scum!Tracker first.
Dunno.

this discussion is fine - I just don't want this game to devolve into being speculation about what is, what could've happened, what it is that would've happened had another thing happened but didn't, etc.

in other words, there is a multitude of situations that could have led to mod error, there are several outcomes for each of these situations depending on what the error was itself, and so on and so forth - you get the idea - and only one of them is true. I know it's hard, but please try your best to play as if that hadn't happened.
