well the thing is i'm a big-time tryhard because i feel like i have some pride in my scum play, so a subpar effort is disappointing to me. i realize of course that this is probably a source of my current performance anxiety.

Step 1: Basics

We need to get parity or better, so here's the playerlist, minus us:

Ali is (hopefully) biting dust real soon. That leaves another 8 town v the 3 of us. Best case is we will need another 2 mis-being thrown into a fucking pits, and 2 clean nightkills.

benefit for us, so we probably don't wanna exe there anytime soon.
That leaves GE, VP, SirC, Deasvail, Noraa, ABR and iv as good mis-being thrown into a fucking pits. Of these, I consideer Noraa, IV and VP as potential 'easy' marks (sowwy).

ABR is probably drawing attention, but they are a solid player and should be able to coop with it.

So, if we put this in tiers:

if there is an option to have any of the bottom 4 voted out, we take it. Even if that means all 3 of us on-wagon. The bottom 4 are also probably the to-kill list in any case, with the 3 top players being 'safe' push options.

All of this isn't taking much of the game-flow in consideration, and definitely not a whole lot of day 1 play.

Step 2: player analysis and predictions (PAAP)

I think they had a fairly solid day 1, where Shoshin was such a disturbing factor it threw everyone off. In hindsight, I think a strong town is probably fine with that miselim anyway. What matters is how they go from there.

So, Gamma. Based on an ISO dig, there primary targets are going to be Noraa and Midway. I think Gamma is someone who pushes strongly to get reactions, so when Midway comes under pressure, I think they should just cooperate as best as they can. I'll be helping to pile pressure onto Noraa, and see what happens there. I've seen them crack under pressure as town, and they can really scum it up then :p

This player is in my top 2 of scary list.

I've got some experience with them, and IIRC they correctly identified me as town in the Roses game. I might have fooled them in 1 game, but i'm not sure about that. I think I can be townread by them, nontheless they are great and logical solver. Beware.
Seems to be most 'present' player so far, I expect them to be most influencial when it comes to deciding the lynch.
As with GE, they got sidetracked by Shoscum. Expect them to be pointing there nose in every direction. As with GE, I expect them to pile pressure on Noraa early.

Equally scary as GE. Maybe even more. Fully expecting them to be sorting me as well, because from their PoV they 'can read me correctly'. Probably my main test on D2, together with the datisi hood. Chances of miselim on this player on D2 are low, probably need to nightkill. Main reason why i'd choose GE or ABR over Ali is that we probably can't get either of these players out thru dayplay anyway.

i miiiight go for a defence of Noraa based on 'recent games with her', where this is town!meta for them. Somewhat risky because TMI etc, but maybe worth a shot if wagon spots are limited.

Most important take-away so far:

We will need at LEAST 2 nightkills to win, and i'm betting that both ABR and GE are going to be among them. After 2 nightkills, massclaim is going to be a thing and we may not get opportunity to kill these players because of mech play. Killing Ali now means we might lose a shot on either of these players later on. Seeing how stacked our roles are, expect town to have a shitload of pr's as well. This is a 'normal' game after all.

DV's a good player, former paragon winner, not that you should put a ton of stock in a silly award from a long time ago, but he's a good scumhunter and less likely to be lead astray than most people in this game. he doesn't seem to play that often anymore, and has a more relaxed style. this got him falsely scumread in one of the games i played with him way back when, but people play very differently now than they used to. i don't think he'll be easy to wagon, better off as a NK somewhere down the line

i'm not entirely sure about that, you're loaded but the gating on your abilities means your use is limited and midway's a 1-shot, we effectively only have 3 pr actions all game. i'm not anticipating a strong set of town prs because our utility is kind of limited

i recognize leaving abr alive is a risk but i have a swing for the fences type of play i want to try there. if you're nervous you can change it but right now, abr's scumreads are all wrong because none of us are in the game, effectively

otoh, ali isn't a bad shot, they are a good player when in the moody mood
