he's a motion detector on even nights, which means that he would get a positive result if his target visited someone, or if someone visited his target. this means in theory it is possible for a visiting role to also visit his target, producing a false positive result. however, we don't know if he'd try to visit iv or dv and it's not really worth the risk when we can just alienate him and avoid any result
just for the record, i think you guys are mixing things up?
ABR is an even night motion detector
IV is a disloyal hider
so in order to get a guilty, ABR has to motion detect IV, who has to target either of us, and nobody can interfere with either of their actions. Same goes with his odd night tracker
am I wrong in seeing it like this?

if I alien ABR, his action doesn't go thru, and nobody can target them. Thus, no guilty can be made by either of those investigate roles. The only 'problem' the hider can cause is if we target them for death, and they hide behind scum. They'll effectively be unkilleable in that very specific scenario.

we kill datisi because there is a +++++++chance they are also a town power role, ascetic + maybe (probably?) smt else.
ABR is going to be our battering ram, which is hopefully pointed in the wrong direction. Otherwise i'll discredit them. Massclaim is also going to be a thing on the next day. I'm still thinking both of you are better off claiming VT.

true, but the main point is that IV's role is very weak by itself and we shouldn't be scared of it unless we specifically wanna kill them at night (which is never happening this game)

agreed, we are in a very good position - there are several viable mischops on the table, vp is going to claim a confirmed town pr and is hard pocketed by you, you should be able to move things the way you want tomorrow
i would personally love to get midway to endgame, my first game with him he got called out by pretty much everyone and broke my heart with his selfhammer, i want to help him improve if i can. it might not happen but it'd be fun if it did.
oh yeah, iv's role actually does almost literally nothing without interaction with another PR. the only thing it actually CAN do on its own is prevent a nightkill if he visited one of us the night we tried to kill him, but even then it's not like it'd be a confirmed guilty since you can't know if it was a blocked kill or a nokill, and we have no reason to shoot him anyway
