re: my Molla vote, I had intended to come back the next day and talk about it. It was partially POE, partially to see if a wagon would start there because it was time to change gears, and I also wanted to see how people reacted to it.

Need to look at that in more detail after I sleep but Pine's reaction puts him back into the pool for me.

I also townread people I was already townreading, so that's not helpful.

But I don't really think anyone jumped on me quite the way I was hoping for. Zor's vote on me feels pretty shruggy.

This might not be relevant but I actually said something similar in one of my earliest scumgames, about hoping I’d get votes, right after I got several at once.

Now I know that some players helped by seeing who jumps on them, Auro comes to mind but he usually tries to make a scummy sounding post to get reactions as opposed to making a comment like this after the fact.

So the idea I had when I made that vote was that, in that gamestate it was about time to change up the wagons. People had been giving me shit about not explaining the Ram vote (although I

did

actually think that was a bit obvious but whatevs.)

So I was thinking it would be a really easy thing for scum to shitpush. Same idea as the deliberately weak argument to see who pushes on it tactic.

I think deliberately acting scummy is a really bad strategy because how do you know it isn’t town jumping on you? I find it far more helpful when I get jumped on for something inadvertently NAI because scum love to jump on that in general more often than town but if you actually do something scummy, than I think it’s reversed.

@Akarin are you town here? If so tell me why?

Also there's something about Pine's progression on Akarin and me i really don't like.

I start the day by voting Akarin because i want them to react. Pine then immediately claims they are town and i am scum trying to mislim them.
Then later Pine starts voting Akarin, and as i ask TSQ to consider Pine/FL if Akarin flips town, Pine immediately claims i am "TMI-ing" them town which is just chainsaw to the max. Seems to me that Pine knows Akarin's allignment and really wants to blame me for having voted them, even though i'm not even that strongly scumreading Akarin in the first place. It's a really scummy progression and they make complete sense as FL's partner too.

I did a meta dive on DEB and honestly my issue with pursing them is that they just don't post anything as either alignment.

Here's a town game I found of theirs where basically they just did this same thing and got eliminated d3 as town.

I'm not super interested in elimming someone based on playstyle yet, I'd rather actually scum hunt. The only thing I can really see different that game is they posted more frequently at points. It's frustrating and I wish the rules were enforced in such a way as to not allow players to play the game this way (my rule sets prohibit it! plug plug) but when confronted with a slot like this or Not_Mafia I just kind of throw my hands up and say well we'll get to them eventually.

I'd rather go after partners because I feel like if DEB is scum he's not winning at end game if he's the only scum alive.
