Hold on just a second. (Nothing bad, just consider the following.)

Pooky, insofar, has townlead, kind of. By creating the Cult of Pooky, Pooky's declared a block of townreads to "cult" and vote with, thus strengthening the Town's power. This list of succession also shows the relative strength of Pooky's reads. If someone needs to be better townread, they will kill someone the slot above, thus increasing their town-read level.

HOWEVER, this creates an opportunity for WIFOM, where one could kill someone farther up the rungs of the tree to get higher up in the cult. OR, one could kill someone

them, to frame the people below, and keep the inner sanctum pure!
