i'm skimming through d1 again, while focusing on the fact that (1) cook kinda meme claimed cop at first and (2) scum had info that there was a cop in the game. bad news is that all three of npom/ranny/ele voted cook at some point. however, i do think both npom and ranny come off much worse from it than ele. the reason being that both of them expressed some sorta townish read on cook before voting him, while ele continuously had him low in their reads.

i purposefully made 2342 somewhat disingenuous. i wanted to see the reactions to a post that's shading both of you but ultimately landing on luca. you asked for the point in 2344 and there was absolutely no point to that part. it was me scraping the bottom of the barrel to spin as much of your d2 as i could into being scummy.

i think it's elements who saw that i'm leaning luca, and didn't try to convince me why their actions on d2 aren't actually scum, they don't care about that, they just need to keep me on luca.

the way i usually read luca is by whether his posts feel like he's reading my mind and typing it out. there are two big ~events~ that make me doubt town!luca. those are (1) continuously scumreading cook on day 2 and (2) insisting he wouldn't push cook as scum.

however. (1) i think i'm being unfair here. i was one of the loudest proponents for cook being scum on day 1. and his play didn't improve on day 2. but i had my information, i knew there was a town cop in the game, and with shiga dying, i knew it had to be cook. what i'm wondering, if i were a vt, would i still be scumreading cook there? the answer is probably yes. (2) doesn't make sense to me because i would definitely keep pushing town!cook as scum, because i get too much joy from town killing their own power roles, and because "i wouldn't do x as scum" is an excuse that works more often than it should. but i might be an exception rather than the rule here. first, because ranny also said it (2186), and because luca did say to be a more careful scum player in a recent game.

going back to day 1, luca being scum would mean that the day 1 sos wagon was all pure. i find that hard to believe. there was no attention on zuko. luca was prematurely bussing even though there was already a wagon forming on sos that he could've easily joined? risking that with a counterwagon on a scumbuddy that could easily gain traction, as sos's wagon is held on with nothing but weak lollurker fuel??? compared to ele, who ignored zuko on day 1 *completely*, and kept trying to get people on the sos wagon.

elements makes more sense as scum than luca. they tried to drag away from zuko on d1. luca bussing saudade to then turn and push the person he'd know to be a cop would not be a good look later on, and he'd know nothing would even come from the push in the first place. we've been mindmelding for most of the game. his play in the past few days looks more town than elements'. and a lot of dead townies thought they were scum.

it's not that clear though. the fact that i'm still alive is bothering me.

and knowing that the town was on the path to victory and i fucked it up is heavy.
