Mafia can be played in a lot of ways, if the end result were to just townread people and then vote the scums with no ambiguous grey it would be boring

I just think in a setup like this I wouldn't be so forthright

I often have difficulty concealing my opinions, and I feel like if I post enough scum will know where I stand anyway. Also when I want to post in a mafia game I'll post and generally that post will involve thoughts on the game so /shrug

Also the grey area comes in who to townread and why

Could you see yourself sticking with a Isis TR for a long period of time like you've declared about Koba? Ydra?

I don't see myself re-evaluating isis until at least d2, mostly because I don't think scum!isis will be scummy anytime soon. If isis is scum this game it will probably be tough to determine it.

My ydra townread I need to see more from her but I probably will stick with it for a long time if I decide she's town

Idk. I stick with townreads until I have to let go of them. Until I get better at determining which of my reasons to TR people are good and which are bad, that's kinda what I have to do or else l am super recency biased.

Last thing I want to ask: In Fortress you practiced more restraint. You did have reads, but I felt like you took your time. I'm surprised of your immediacy. Was that just because of the game environment, or something else?

My most obvious weakness as scum is motivation past d1, it might be a while before I can solve that one.

PEdit: yes I think that feeling is usually wrong in mafia games though

@unwnd In fortress I talked about having relatively low motivation, that's mostly the reason. Game environment is also a factor.

I mean i dont have a strong read on you yet but why would you want to be roleblocked instead of someone outside of you? Either scum doesnt prepare guillotine or they dont go to dungeon and kill people - both options roleblock the scum so from your pov you should want to not be assigned it at all

If we don't do the dungeon N1 we only have on person with an odd level. That makes us unable to investigate players for whether their level is odd the next night if that player is NKed.

Or at minimum we need two players to prepare the guillotine.

But that removes investigate effects from guillotine preparation.

I think 1 quest 1 guillotine is optimal.
If I do some crazy hard math maybe funky numbers could make just one quest optimal.

stop this - not prepping guillotine is a scumclaim. Its ok on night 1. We will know. There is no way scum can autowin by both failing the quest and the guillotine if they're both assigned to it bc we go down to 6 and then we sleep and all prep guillotine and lim both scum back to back.

You know in hindsight there isn't really a benefit to having me take the guillotine that I can think of outside of like like a scummy suggestion in order to WIFOM townreads which, in turn, makes me the most scummy player or at least one of them, which then enables me to take the guillotine after all

I thought maybe there's an off chance the dungeon ppl dying mechanic or scum being able to chain the multiple deaths with faking to take the guillotine helps them win but i suppose im not more trustworthy for preparing the guillotine just because i set it up all the previous nights

So really I dont know why i wanted it exactly. I'll still take it tho for the aforementioned irony cause that's sort of amusing
