Ffery we need to talk abt the lack of daytalk in this setup

I've been thinking about this, as well as the 14 day game days. These in some ways are remnants of past site meta, but I think they are also factors in this game's balance.

I love the beguiling simplicity of this setup and I hate to do anything to it that would detract from the elegance of melo-after-melo-after-melo, while compounding associations slowly pile up.

The most recent time this game ran before this, in 2018, the scum team didn't make any comments about the lack of daychat, and daytalk had become the sitewide norm by then. It was around that time that newbie games also were modified to include day chat.

I'm curious to hear what people think about the balance issues and how to maintain them with daychat.
