It feels like it comes from someone with a scum win condition

Like, for a dog if we townbin someone who is a cat for mechanics reasons, the win percentage of the cat is almost zero

For a townie, if we townbin someone for mechanics reasons but that person -could- be scum actually, they could just also be town for different reasons and we still win

I guess town binning a dog is also a loss

the way I think about it is.

Town don't want to express paranoia on a "cleared" slot cuz in multiball if a "cleared" slot is actually scum, there's a good chance the other scum team just shoots the cleared slot so you don't have to worry about it.

Scum do want to express paranoia on cleared slots because they want to keep the PoE wide enough for their team to survive and not get elimmed.

Since there's a lot of debate here, just to be clear on my stance I'm not saying SS isn't almost for sure town by mechanics. I said earlier I don't think lie detector is a scum role in this setup. I just don't think anyone making any guesses on mechanics should be considered townslipping.
