Yes but a lot of people I strongly town read are voting MC. They can't all be scum.

At the same time its interesting that ND was willing to think about playstyle things re: anya but is not willing to give MC the same benefit of the doubt.

Difference being I've played with Anya before but this is my first game with MC and so am taking other's word for his general playstyle.
What should I be thinking about in terms of MC playstyle?

Force them into a 1 v 1 or confirm my role.

I don't think that protecting me tonight is a valuable use of our resources, nor do I want any invention esque abilities. In fact, if you're town you will not target me at all for any reason.

You know, if you really wanted people to follow this, you would have posted it more prominently, not on a random page in normal font. This is especially true since this is contrary to standard mechanical play.

Murdercat is frequently lurky and non participatory in early days of large themes because he feels overwhelmed. This is based on conversations I've had with him personally and also based on what I've observed in the large themes I've run that he has played in where it is very common for him to get Wagoned for not participating that much as town.

Oh, he I didn't realize that was the reason he had a slow start. He seemed to brush it off with jokes etc. Though cognitive load is definitely a thing.

I only get overwhelmed as scum. Has he gotten worse at handling that? I feel like he's been natural(ish) in other games before, not opinionated, but, like, genuine and seemingly fluid instead of systematic.

I think if you look at mc large games vs normals you'll find a really big difference.

I will state that almost no one is taking your view here THQ, you're defending him because he's a slow starter but for the most part I don't recall people voting him for that, but because he content he made was 2 standard deviations from the norm which tends to get you wagoned, yes. But there's also a certain burden of proficiency I place on Murderkitty, I wish I could use a better word bu it feels like he's dumbing himself down here.

It's ultimately nai by because i think it's true regardless and obviously people have different things they're voting him for but i want to specifically defend against the "you're not doing much" accusations because that's just what he always does in large early games in my experience.

This shit right here is something I'd expect to see while spectating a newbie game and immediately mark down whoever posted it as obvscum, and avoid/seek the slot as replacement potential depending on my mood of wanting to draw scum or not.

Yes, same. I think he finds ways to contribute as town though that he hasn't done here. On the other hand, I am fully aware that maybe he's doing with IRL stuff and hat's adding in an additional component.

I find it very likely that I will end up hammering him because I'll suspect (perhaps wrongly) that he's overwhelmed scum that his buddies, are cutting him loose because Ndmath is also scum so it doesn't matter which one is scum.

Yeah, I'm not even sure what Ircher is doing there because it's he's socially adept. I thought maybe he was trying to dump a wifom connection to distance or to ge Titus killed later or they're just partners.
