I think choosing a townread who'd work well as conftown is preferable to selecting anyone for mechanical reasons. The influence of an IC and the double elimination outweighs any mechanical consideration based on people's roles.

I don't think that we should be talking about how strong our abilities are over all - but, we each have 4 abilities, and we are only vaguely talking about our NP.

Like, me for example, I am not saying that my NP is weak or strong, but I don't think that is benefits much from being charged early. So I am fine letting mine fill naturally.

I’m coming around to the idea that we should be aiming to hit town more than we care about the NP of whoever gets it.

Using mine right away is better than using it later.

I prefer getting a town master but removing a scum early and getting the information/interactions is also pretty helpful.

That is the first post caster has made that I agree with. Town master is the first priority, but we aren’t up a creek without a paddle if it hits scum.

I think from the Moderator post that all that happens is they get ***** and get ** instead of * every turn? But there is one of them removed from the game right off the bat.

I agree with this partially. Aiming for the towniest voice who wants to be the master is best. By filtering out those who don't want to be master, we're left with town who want to be master and scum. For the scum who fail to get master, they have to justify later in the game why they wanted their NP filled up.

The best way to elect master would be to give it to person, who steals the most page tops as this person has to be active and vocal

I mean, yeah. Hitting mafia is not the end of the game, but hitting town is definitely better.

So, its fine to have a "if we miss, its not the end of the world" attitude, but we should definitely be aiming for town

Personally I don't really enjoy leading because my reads can be quite terrible at times when I'm off and I would feel incredibly bad about leading town down the wrong direction if I got master'd and then promptly mis-elimmed two players (*_*);;

We still get interactions and information from the IC slot, and we could use the double elim on D1 to achieve almost the same thing except then they don’t get to stay as a stump to advise their team, and the scumteam don’t get the upgraded roles, and they also don’t get basically free NPs immediately
