Yo, checking in briefly after the wedding rehearsal IRL that kicked my butt. I have no idea what is going on right now and have no intent on catching up tonight, but I've been thinking about the miller claims--specifically, why Vaxkiller's claim was phrased differently than the others. Yeet Dann first (obviously), but basically, we need to treat Vaxkiller as scum.

Think about what Vaxkiller gains from sharing that information up-front instead of claiming, and you will understand why you need to treat that claim as scum.

Unrelatedly, morph the cat is not a townread for me, for that progression about a meta tell on Dann. It does not look like scum faking a turnaround and wolf!morph gains nothing from it. Mafia!morph might use it as an excuse to stop bussing a buddy, but it seems less likely.

I have read up to and a little past "the incident".

T3 slot should probably be the lim for today. The initial scum slip was obviously bad but the posts following and self-vote leading to his ragequit seals the deal for me. These posts don't make sense coming from town making a joke and feel like an admission that the Loyal Babysitter claim was a lie. I admire Dannflor's effort replacing into a basically dead slot but his entrance feels a lot like "uh oh, my predecessor scum slipped I better town it up by providing as much content as possible immediately". There's a few posts below that sound fake to me:

I'm particularly interested in the read on my slot considering what had been generated so far. I'm also curious why if you started liking T3 if you had any hesitation about the genuineness of his "slip"

I'm actually immediately suspicious of both resistance heads coming to a T3 town conclusion so suddenly

like there's an aggressive charisma there but a lot of the posts feel performative in a NAI way.

It's hard to put into words, but these quotes read to me like he's hyper-aware that he's doing what he's "supposed" to do by analyzing the T3 wagon and rapid-fire throwing content into the thread, like he's trying to SOUND town instead of just...BEING town.

Random thoughts surrounding "the incident":
I feel really good about The Resistance based on their reaction to the scum slip. I'd expect scum on the same team as T3 would either scramble to hop on the bandwagon and grab some form of credit or just stay silent and see how things played out, where scum on the opposing team would let T3 continue to bury himself. Titus, specifically, in my experience likes to appease the masses as scum and I don't think she'd put herself out there and directly oppose the popular opinion this early when she could easily escape the radar by not defending T3.

unwnd's 157 came at a time where he could have easily blended into the chaos and continued the trolling schtick he'd established but instead he chose to explain exactly what was wrong with T3's progression in a way that wasn't cred-grabby, and that I completely agree with.

I think Echolocation and ManateeDude have the worst reactions to the scum slip. Echolocation's 90 feels like he noticed morph and Shelby's reactions and tried to emulate them because it was "the thing to do", and prior to this his posts are all trolly one-liners so I can see a world where he was having trouble getting engaged into the game and jumped at the opportunity to call out the scum slip to fit in.

Manatee has a similar initial reaction in 104, and I'm thrown off by how she pivots from an overall confidence that T3 is scum to soft-defending him when morph brings to light a pretty damning point against his claim being truthful?

I spent way more time than I wanted to putting this post together and I'm already irritated at this ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS movement to wagon me without having even posted. I will be gone for pretty much the rest of the day so I'm eager to see how the scum!Spiffeh circle-jerk progresses now that I've actually provided something substantial!

Reading Dannflor's posts in context rather than isolated makes me feel a little better about him actually, his answering for T3's behavior in 288 and 318 isn't as overblown and is more natural than I expected based on his first posts replacing in, and I liked his questioning and ultimate understanding of Titus' stance on his slot.

I still think it could be a scum slip, but Dann's posts are staving off TUNNEL MODE for now.

Regardless of his alignment, he shouldn't survive to see D4 because even if he DOES belong to a scumteam, he SHOULD be nightkilled by the other scumteam just due to the threat he poses to them. And if he's town, that's doubly so, because that means both scumteams will see him as a threat. Because he's Dannflor.

I don't, mastina just respects my game to an unusual degree. my read rate is generally only slightly better than rand. I do get night killed a fairly high amount but it is usually due to the fact that I can obv-town well. Unfortunately, I have a bit of baggage this game that makes that less likely as a whole
