how the fuck is 23 a bump?

it's actually really obvious. to explain this however, we first must define a bump. a "(pagetop) bump" is a post (though there can be multiple of them in quick succession) that a user makes in order to get to the bottom of a page so that they can then grab the next page's top post.

then, we need to look at the timestamps. 23 was made at xx:36:22, 24 was made at xx:36:44, and the pagetop 25 was made at xx:36:49. the time delay between 23 and 24 was 22 seconds, while the time delay between 24 and 25 was 5 seconds. let's assume that iconeum's internet is good, so that we can eliminate the waiting time for a post to get posted. and let's assume it takes our dragon... 1 second to click away from "you have successfully posted this post" and go back to typing.

25 took 8 key presses to type (one for each letter of the word pagetop, one for the caps lock at the beginning), and we know ico had 4 seconds to do so (5 seconds of the time between the posts, 1 second taken away for the loading time between posting 24 and going back to typing, assuming he spent no time thinking about grabbing the pagetop, as in 32 he basically admitted that 24 was a bump). from this, we can conclude that ico types at 2 characters per 1 second.

now, 24 took 22 key presses to type, which means ico spent an average of 11 seconds typing it up. knowing there was a 22 second difference between 23 and 24, subtracting 1 second for the loading times and 11 seconds it took to type it up, we are left with 10 seconds.

IF iconeum is truthful in saying that 23 is not a bump, that would mean that within those ten seconds, he posted 23, looked at the forum, saw that he was almost at the bottom of the page, and decided to try to grab the next pagetop. i think we can all agree that this is widely unrealistic, therefore, at the time iconeum posted 23, he was already planning to grab the next pagetop. which means that 23 was posted with the intent to get to the bottom of the page. *therefore*, 23 is a bump.
