I like Toogeloo a lot less solely for 935. It becomes a lot more performative when you realise I'd spent the last 2/3 pages talking about how I'm no longer confident on Luke and I'd rather have Enchant shot.

It might be scum getting the last minute bus in seeing the tide is turning against Enchant anyway.

I actually like Hockey's 899 because it feels uninformed and bold to say something like that if you're Enchant's partner

935 does seem to make a Toog /Luke team possible, and that fits with my general feelings on the game even if it wouldn't be my first choice.

Just heading into work but my initial thoughts.

I think, first thing in the morning following a red flip, I could put the two of them in my PoE and feel reasonably good about it, maybe. I do need to read back with scum!enchant in mind, but there isn't a lot to go on from his ISO.

Mostly because I looked at his last scumgame and the amount of effort/nuance he's put into this one greatly exceeds it. That's what got me initially doubting myself and why I enquired into his "townslip" further, and his response there was good.

I wouldn't bet my house on it, I'd put maybe a shed on him being scum, and a conservatory on him being town.

I, uhh. Had the opposite reaction to that post.

If you really are town, then it looked like he was trying to keep the shot inside the two of us. I also followed up with him to work through why he would be concerned about a possible enchant flip, given his reads, and it did not really make sense to me.

That being said, him trying to keep the shot inside of you/me when you were starting to try and move away from your gladiate makes you less likely to be partners I think.

His reason for turn around felt strange to me. Because I made some high effort posts, I might not be scum?

I have 2 scum games. He pointed to the one that was a bit of a meme game that lasted 4 irl days, and said that I did not effort as much in that game, but I feel like I was very high effort in the newbie game. So I don't know if he was just looking for a reason to back down, or if he really did just look at the short game, or if he also looked at the newbie game and thought I was also showing less effort in that game then here?

And the turn around did come after Marci said that she would shoot Hectic if she shot inside of [me+hectic]...

But on the other hand, he backed down in a way that set up meta expectations for other people. Like, "based on meta, luke is outside of his scum range" feels like a dangerous thing to try and walk back later. And he also hard pivoted into Enchant.

So, I would shoot hockey or vulture > hectic atm?

Well... I know I'm town and I've had Luke as damn near locktown since udders had the gun. When people continually push a paranoia agenda that includes me and my biggest town read, I tend to take offense.

Oh no, I just opened it now and saw all the walls. I don't see why you redirect me to it as scum but looks like I can't just lazily say your effort is town. Btw part of the reasoning was that you were still putting out that solving/effort even after I'd made it very clear I was shooting you and marci had suggested she was probably shooting me. So it felt pretty unnecessary at that point for convincing me or marci that you're not scum, with our minds seemingly made.
