I've looked over your posts, thats the thing, there's almost nothing there.

I can't even see why you're on House. I'm trying to get you to follow up on your pokes because you're asking questions but doing absolutely nothing with them. You've done a lot with asking others for reads and it's clear you know my style from the quotes and not asking me for reads.

What I want from you, is to convince me house is a good vote.

Early game I like seeing fast pressure and wagon momentum, and House is a slot I'm fine with a wagon on currently.

Not a fan of his disengagement with the game after the Gamma spat, especially considering he scumreads his most popular counterwagon.

I'm disinclined towards breaking that momentum just to build a wagon on a slot I don't feel very strongly about, and that other players have shown a lack of interest in voting alongside.

When you see me asking someone for reads, do you not also see me discuss those reads? Also, I throw out a lot of questions, and don't necessarily post my thoughts on

every

response I get to them. If there's a specific question of mine you'd like more insight on (why it was asked, what I made of the answer, other potential answers I may have expected) please point them out!

Town have the habit of refreshing and checking the thread at a rate far more frequent than scum. This is because the interest for solving the game can often be far higher than scum's desire to lie. Some scum can also be scared of opinions of their posts after they post, and may even close the thread entirely for some time, while town will eagerly refresh the page to hear opinions on what they've just posted.

I've been rereading the thread and I had an idea. There's a phenomenon on this site known as page topping, often conjoined to one word as such; PageTopping.

This phenomenon results in players wanting to score the top post of new pages. The top post of each page are divisible by 25, so post 500 would be a PageTop, and so would post 975.

Now, the interesting thing about these PageTops are that you can only perform them if you are present on the page and see the opportunity for one arise. To be present on the page, you must have refreshed it recently.

See where I'm going with this? In addition to town being more able to efficiently perform PageTops, they are also just more active on average, and will naturally land more PageTops over time. This results in town scoring far more PageTops on average than scum.

The crap part is that if players were to do that, it would support every word I've said against Gamma, but it's not like i can actually ask people to do that, and they can't say that's why they changed their mind on him even if they did

My point is, the stat you've chosen is irrelevant at best.

As SS pointed out, if activity is what you're after, there's a link at the bottom of every page that shows how many posts every player has made in this thread.

Pagetop spec just fuels pagetop sniping for whatever reasons the players may have, and I'm sure the mods probably won't appreciate that.

I'm starting to lean that way.

I love mech spec, and if you look at the style of games I play I tend to go for mech heavy or bastard games. Looking at the games I've run (all 2 of them - still need an outside reviewer for the second) you can see I love mech weirdness.

If you want me to get down and dirty in the mech here, I can and I will, but the conclsion is always going to be the same. The human element alone here is enough to throw the spec out of the window.

I can tell you what my options were that I was going to choose from, and few people will actually believe me because of how I approach these games.

I was looking at PGO, Vengeful and Universial Backup. I'm not going to say what I actually selected but I was looking at those as I sent my number in.
