my initial thought is that i feel like ugly duck is coping my thought process around andante whether purposefully or not. i tend to see that as scummy because when town see something familiar, they are more likely to townread it. but at the same time, i don't think this read is actually that simple. there's something about that paragraph that i genuinely just dislike on a level that i dont know how to explain right now.

[q]fua - Just played a game with them and they were town. And at the beginning of the game I thought they had a few skummy comments, and I do again this time, so take it as you will.
I do not like this, because while it was on page 4 it was also their first post of the game. It was right after they said they didn't vote the way they did (but they did) so it feels just like... graspy.

This is the most horrible read of the bunch.

Also. I love how the person that posts 5 times in 8 days says “just ask me to clarify”.. yeah, sure ok.. because there is so much evidence to support that a question will receive any kind of acknowledgment.

If 2 people asked questions they would have to up their output by %40, which at this point seems unlikely.

so you think scum me would lie about something like a rvs vote? i did have thoughts on the game but everything about every thought was solely about andante basically and i didn't want to talk about that yet. that first post with the vote was the equivalent of a prodge post for me.

someone said i might be scum for the bad vote on you. im not sure why you seem to think scum me would be so nervous about this one scum read on me that i could've easily fixed with a little extra content in my posts.

I have trouble with your thoughts on why you voted for T3 because approx 5 minutes after T3 push-voted Scorp to E-2, you followed up and put Scorp on E-1 so it's kind of weird that you would sheep T3 on Scorp and then turn around and vote T3 for how he pushed Scorp. It feels like your progression is not well thought out and you are kind of opportunistic in how you vote for players you think are easier to elim.

I didn't think too hard about sheeping t3 there and only really thought about his post more later

I really don’t think that you’re scummy for that post in particular anymore— it was probably just a miscommunication of intent given the context and I don’t want you limmed today. I think Scorp was calling out Duck’s read of me as fabricated and hedging. Basically all of Duck’s reads boil down to “I think this person is one alignment,

but

because of (X), they could also be the other alignment!” Which makes me think he isn’t really trying to hunt for scum at all.

I don't necessarily think uglyduck is scum for those reads (actually felt like, does scum really make a list with literally no scumreads?) but don't mind the pressure there at all and want to see how he responds.

Still working on rereading, have time today so should be able to get that done eventually.

I'm not actually sure you get what I'm saying - if he's making that list as scum he's leaving himself almost nowhere to push which means he's likely boxing himself out. I know sometimes scum make dumb posts that are un-strategic anyway, I'm just saying, wouldn't be the first time I've seen town make a readslist like that. Like I said I'm fine with the pressure and hopefully it gets him to come back and talk a bit more.

Ehh. From what I’ve seen scum are much more afraid to actually put scumreads on their lists than town are, so I’m not sure. Might just be a difference in experience, though.
