I don't take it that way. More like the feeling of being a burden on a scumteam is way higher than as town. Scum have way less wiggle room for error generally speaking.

I'm sort of the same way (not that I would ever rep out if I can help it) but messing up as town won't phase me in any way. It would as scum however.

So here’s my deal with Ircher’s claim hence why I wanted to know if he’s played the role in the past. I hated his reaction of “strange”. The vibe I got with it is it feels scummy. There is a good chance he could be town!ircher that was role blocked by scum!team. Which is a play that scum!team used to get an extra miselim. I also feel like the longer we wait on him the whole non-info we are gonna get.

There’s just something that bugs the ever living fuck out of his claim, but I’m unable to just place it into words from my brain that makes any sense to anyone else.

Nah Mala, I think we're on the same page here. It's a claim that buys time for his team to posture around him, can be ridden indefinitely if town is foolish enough to permit, and which is fairly low in terms of utility so him surviving NKs won't be questioned. It's the perfect "I'm going to lay low and hope I can dodge this bullet" claim.

TFN seems like an awfully weak PR in a theme presumably PR heavy, and scum bothering to block that seems like a waste on their part. Why get someone killed whose entire threat to scum is that they get confirmed town and is likely to get limmed anyway, when they could be searching for more powerful roles?

@Mala, I believe Shrike also said Ircher is probably a keystone scum role on D1. I think that holds -- pay attention to how desperate people are to derail the Ircher wagon, both D1 and D2. It just keeps happening.
