The Rules: Always in Effect1. Don't be a dick.
2. This is a game for fun. Act like it.
3. Pretending to break a rule IS breaking a rule.
4. Don't PROVABLY quote privileged information.
5. Try not to allow outside influences to affect the game.
6. Follow Site Rules.
7. If you think it should be against the rules, assume it is.
8. I will change these at any time for the integrity of the game or if I think it will increase the enjoyment of the players.

The Rules: This Game1. Day one will last 10 days. Subsequent days will last 7 days.
2. Eliminations are by majority vote.
3. Instead of a factional nightkill, Mafia may make two players fight each night phase. The mafia must choose players who have fought less than other players for this if possible. This choice will have a deadline of 48 hours.
4. The most recently eliminated player may propose a constraint for the fight during the night phase. This constraint will not be announced before the fighters are revealed. If they do not, I may ask a random discord server I'm a part of for fight constraints without context, but they're a bunch of weirdos.
5. Any players forced to fight may submit a champion by describing them in 7 words or less. These choices will be anonymously published. They will have 24 hours to do so.
6. All players may vote by PM to decide which fighter would win the fight. They will have 24 hours to do so. Suggested criteria for this judgment include which fighter is more likely to bribe the moderator.
7. Anyone who loses a fight will die.
8. Phases will end early if presubmissions happen.
9. Mafia members may continue to post in the Mafia PT after they die.
10. Players must post every 48 hours or they will be prodded. Players who do not respond to prods or who receive excessive numbers of prods will be replaced.

Suppose a game of Superfight Mafia is being played. D1 goes as normal. The following is an example of potential outcomes.

Karl is chosen to be the first elimination. The thread locks and Karl goes to the dead thread. Karl then chooses as a constraint "The fight will take place in an upside down goldfish bowl on Mars."

The Mafia team of Amanda, Klein, and Rufus chooses Rufus and Jimmy to fight. Rufus and Jimmy have 24 hours to choose a fighter, both having been told nothing of the constraint. At the end of this time, the fighters will be revealed as follows.

Our next fight is:

FIGHTER A: Chuck Norris.
FIGHTER B: Thousands of Man Eating Micro Bacteria

The fight will take place in an upside down goldfish bowl on Mars.

Players may then vote for the winner of the fight by PM.

After a winner is determined, the loser dies. If a tie occurs, a fighter will randomly be selected to die. All votes for the winner (as well as who cast them) will be published the next day.

In this case, Rufus, who chose Chuck Norris loses and dies. The following is posted:

Chuck Norris, Rufus, was voted for by {Players}.
Thousands of Man Eating Micro Bacteria, Jimmy, was voted for by {Players}.

Rufus, Mafia, has died.

During D2 no elimination occurs.

At the beginning of N2, Amanda, Klein and Rufus must choose two living players to fight. They may not choose Jimmy, as Jimmy has won more fights than another living player.

Rufus chooses the constraint to be "While riding a motorcycle in ancient Greece." and is able to tell the other mafia members this if he chooses, because mafia have persistent scumchat.

Someone else almost missed deadline too, and the arbitrary discord server came up with "Three armed children in a trenchcoat." I mean, I guess not functionally mountainous, given the potential for forced scum NK's, but still. I think the change on balance from the kills being unreliable isn't severe enough to offset the additional scum player over mountainous.

For reference: 11v2 mountainous is both a 40% town EV and observably scumsided historically.

I was aware that both what Dwlee attempted to do and what jjh actually did were possible and still think the balance is well within the limits of playable.

Like, I agree with you that I personally don't enjoy playing in mostly mountainous games, but that doesn't at all mean other people don't enjoy playing them. I tend to shoot wide when designing setups and try to target varied audiences with each.
