Imo there's no reason to not keep Roden alive to Day 2 and "Then" elim, if mind doesh't change (and it often does). It kinda boosts chances to hit maf if he is real deal.

It has been on my mind about the fused name "VengeSmith" and how it may be made up. My question is why would Roden wait for someone to ask them to claim when they were at L-1 if they were intending to fake claim as mafia? They could have easily been hammered at any moment.

I'll be honest, I'm starting to feel the Roden lynch. I've been thinking about Almost's point about how other people have come forward about the fused name and I'm starting to see the sense in it. Also, Roden claimed that their original intention was to "Bait scum with a lynch" which is why they chose the Vengeful role, but earlier they said:

Please don't elim me

I failed to consider the possibility that the claim is fake and was operating under the logic that "VengeSmith" could be a mafia or town oriented role.

Actually that's exactly why A50 is trying so hard to push me. He can't back down because then it's obvious that he's scum who's afraid of getting Venge killed...except he did already do that. He tried to back off and I called him out on it. Now he's trying to convince me that he's just a passionate townie so that I have second doubts, but I'm not buying it.

The biggest scum indicator is him threatening to black list me tbh. There is zero valid reason for him to do that as town, I haven't done anything except call him scum and ask him to provide examples of my "bad phrasing", which he refused to do. There's also the fact that town!A50 just doesn't try hard like this, especially not at the beginning of Day 1.

My role name isn't a fused/compound word either

It also seems to me that if Roden was indeed Town Vengeful, he shouldn't have said so. Because indeed, if he's Town, scum likely aren't going to want to hammer him... Which means if he does get eliminated, it's most likely Town doing the hammering.... Which means the role is now anti-Town.

So yeah, I'm calling the bluff.

Already beat you to that thought process. If you think it's a fake claim, then one other person in the game shouldn't have been fused with my Vengeful submission, and I couldn't have the Gunsmith half either since no one could have submitted that. My role is actually very confirmable, as is everyone else's.

The role isn't anti-town for claiming either, I already announced my Venge target. Scum have to kill me tonight now if I don't get elim'd; I consider tanking the NK as pretty pro-town.

I don't want to speak for RR, but by "bluff," I think he meant that Town typically does not claim Vengeful like this under pressure. That was my reaction at least

Because by claiming Venge, you basically ruin any chance you have at genuine reaction testing. You could be mafia venge though, in which case leaving your slot for later in the game is extremely dangerous.
