For what it matters, I'd have yea'd using Resilient Population there, too. Makes a lot of sense.

Noted. Resilient Population has been discarded and the outbreak in Kolkata has been undone. Currently at 2/8 outbreaks.

Also, I removed the red cube from San Francisco since it was in range of Quarantine Specialist at the time of the Tokyo outbreak and thus, the cube couldn't have been placed.

Infections: Paris, Tokyo and Cairo

All right. So now that that's done, Kolkata still has three cubes left - but now there's one less Kolkata card out there. Plus I'm looking at hands and seeing that the worst is 3/5 of the way to curing Yellow. GeorgeBailey also has Bogota and Mexico City both, which are both pretty close to both of them and pretty close to Atlanta. So I'm thinking I'll save Sao Paulo for rapid transit to Europe.

Me hitting up Kolkata now also looks a little less interesting (as Chennai no longer has that single cube) - so I'm thinking about shifting my focus to Europe / North America via Sao Paulo to free up the worst / GeorgeBailey to concentrate on curing Yellow?

Woah. My rng in this game has been quite funny - constant blue draws into constant yellow draws. I hope posting this doesn't jinx it.

I feel like maybe the red virus is a bit more pressing than helping in NA - George and I could walk to Bogotã and Mexico City starting next turn. Maybe its still worth George doing a little bit of blue cleanup first - like, maybe Toronto/cure => Washington/cure (or NY/cure and i move him to washington on my turn) to set up for a trade next turn?

Would it be worth Nancy heading to Kolkata for now, just so we have someone there to keep an eye on the black virus?

Red might need a little bit of attention this turn. Now that I'm thinking about it, there's probably more value in you being in east Asia/west NA given the chance of spread, if George and I are occupied.

Just kinda throwing ideas out there, let me know if you think any of these aren't great. I'm not sure how best to use Nancy's ability, right now, given it's so rng dependent. But I think having her in a place where we aren't is pretty valuable, maybe?

No matter what, I am definitely going to clean up Tokyo this turn. Theoretically I could also stop by Osaka if need be, but that would take up all the rest of my turn.

The only concern there is Madrid. Both Madrid and Paris are at three cubes; if either one shows up again, it'll trigger outbreaks in both. We're drawing three cards a round now, so that'd mean six cards will show up before GeorgeBailey could theoretically get over there and at least stop the spread.

Of course, GeorgeBailey also has the two yellow cards for Yellow and the two red cards for Red, and he can't be in three places at once.

George, what are you planning to prioritize next? Giving yellow cards to the worst, giving red cards to Nancy, or keeping Blue under control?

No answer. Don't want to delay things too much. And I think two adjacent areas with three cubes each has to be my biggest priority.

Official submission
  1. Treat Disease - Tokyo

  2. Give Tokyo card to Nancy Drew 39

  3. Teleport to Sao Paulo (play Sao Paulo card)

  4. Move-to-and-treat Madrid

Shit. I didn't see that sorry.

I was going to prioritize giving yellow to the worst by ending my turn on Bogota.

Hm, what if we just try and eradicate blue? We're all near blue cities.

Farren is next to Paris, TW treats all of Washington, I end my turn in New York, and treat.

Then Nancy goes to Chicago using the card and treat.

Do you think that'd make it more manageable?

I was kinda wondering if we could do something similar. Like you doing Toronto/cure => NY/cure, then for my turn I could cure Washington, move to Miami, move to Bogotã, then pull you over to Bogotã (for example). Blue is becoming such a non-threat that I think it's worth keeping up momentum on the yellow cure, but I do like the idea of kinda pushing it back even further.

Yeah, ending my turn on NY and treating is definitely the best play.

We could get super unlucky and get a bunch of outbreaks really fast, It's not worth it

.Afterwards I think I think i'll use my red card to go to Manila/Beijing and give Nancy my other red card. Although maybe planning ahead that much with 3 cards per turn is futile.

i'm sure *something* will happen to ruin our day before then, but as a medium-term plan, i think that's solid.

Nancy: your best move is probably to stay in Asia and work on the red cities. That way we can try to meet up with you to hand off more red cards to you.

George has a Manila and Beijing card; I just drew a Hong Kong card, so trying to stay close to those cities while getting rid of red cubes is probably your best bet.

I'd consider one of these two:

1) Move to Seoul
2) Treat Seoul
3) Move to Shanghai
4) Treat Shanghai

OR

1) Move to Osaka
2) Treat Osaka
3) Treat Osaka
4) Move to Taipei

The first slate leaves you between Beijing and Hong Kong; the second slate leaves you between Manila and Hong Kong. Both clear out two red cubes.

Osaka's more likely to be an issue from regular card draws; Seoul/Shanghai are more likely to be an issue from epidemic draws. I don't know which is the better idea as far as treatment goes.
Ending in Taipei gives you a *little* more flexibility in terms of getting cards later, as Hong Kong and Manila are both next to Taipei and to each other.

My current plans for my next turn, assuming no major changes (hah!), look something like:
1) Move&Treat Paris
2) Teleport to Chennai
3) Move&Treat Kolkata
4) Move to Hong Kong

The card pass can be a card grab too, so that'll set Nancy up to grab Hong Kong from me on her following turn.

Nancy's definitely in a better position clearing red cubes until we can give her the last red cards.
