I dunno I think most of what I found weird about Datisi/Aristeia is being resolved by
-both working hard for town (maybe, maybe I'm accidentally just townreading lots of posts)
-reading a bit of their shared history, which is explaining why their earlygame dynamic seemed so complex so quickly

Why is it scummy for their shared history to... not repeat itself exactly as it has before?

yeah they have a lot of shared history + i would expect a complex earlygame dynamic
i think what threw me off was ari going into 'serious' mode so quickly, and towards dats
if she is going to go into serious mode, i wouldn't expect it to be towards dats
(she could totally go into serious mode to push someone else tho)
so like i'm not sure it's inherently scummy, but it felt *weird* in a way that doesn't feel right for tvt either

No I'm saying the shared history context. "I'm town" is a thing from their shared history so datisi saying it is triggering(? better word for this probably) for aristeia and explains why her tone shifted
