Like, I don't understand why the game feels so unengaged - we had a lot of set up spec, then korina had a tantrum, you came in and we had some actual read generating content, (same with Nathann), then a few people have chuxked out reads they don't really want to talk about? This should be easier than it is - I feel like a lot of this should be Poe to find cult leader? Or are people being cautious to avoid hitting the deputies?

Set up wise I don't know what's ''optimal', I definitely rely on other people for that but there's been a fair amount of disagreement and then Titus, who is normally good at this kind of thing, isnt really here.

I'd rather we just played.

Well, I'm kind of disappointed that BBT did not respond to my earlier post, but alright.

Also, I too claim Vengeful Townie. I'm assuming neither of Jacket and RH9 is a Townie fakeclaiming, since it's not like they can eat a bullet for a real power role in this setup. So one of them is most likely a non-Leader Cultist.

I wouldn't put it past Scum!Jacket to claim Vengeful first, but I agree he's most likely Town here.

My thoughts are that, while the Cult Leader claiming Vengeful would really be a funny gambit, it gambles that the Town will never agree to start killing within the CC's. So overall, I find it unlikely.

If Prime Cultist dies by any means, Cult leader can convert someone.

Yeah, if we eliminate a non-Leader Cultist, they get to convert someone. So if we believe that the Leader wouldn't claim Vengeful, then it's optimal to ignore the CC's and keep trying to find them.

There is also the route where we let cult recruit because then if we kill the recruit we delay cult victory a day.

Not in terms of claims, like I clearly am not that girl, but in terms of scum hunting - coz surely the non leader cultists almost want to be elimed, so that recruit can happen?

So we are looking for someone scummy but not too scum y? Even though in a normal game it's maybe worth elim-ing like...korina, as they could well be 'scum'? Or not? In trying to work out how associatives work too.

@enchant, can you explain more about cultists making the leader look good?
