It makes me doubt my reads and is thus anti-town. If you're town I do get the sentiment though, but my reads are naturally going to be less refined.

I don't think we're all that misaligned with how I need to improve my game, and I don't read you as scum for it. But it sure isn't a great way to keep my motivation up if you're town and you read me town. All good here though, let's focus on next steps.

Corwin, talk more about your read on me? In our newbie, you said you came into the game with a lean scum read on me before you replaced in.

Given that, why are you suddenly so paranoid about trying to read me?

I'm down for a Toad wagon as well. Haven't seen much from them in the 20 pages I've read but enough to vote.

Nobody interested in Penguin?

@The Toad - is this a more or less wolfy way of announcing you're town than what I did?
Less.

Is there a reason you asked me this? If you think I should be scumreading Pooky wouldn't it be more effective to wait and see how I would respond to him naturally without suggesting what I 'should' be doing?
Why would I ask someone else? You claimed my entry was wolfy. I wanted to see your take on them claiming they were town in a different way. I don't think you should necessarily read them as scum. Where did I say that? That's an interesting conclusion you're drawing from a simple question.
It's pretty heavily implied by the context - the 'more or less wolfy' part in particular only makes sense if you expect me to find it wolfy to some degree. Not sure where you're going with this reply.

toad's entrance is mainly focused on getting distracted by this nothing argument. i was going to suggest that i don't really see how his read on rad turned all the way around with only two posts from rad neither of which i find tremendously interesting in between, but toad does address this later so instead i'll just write this paragraph to prove i had a thought process. to tack onto a later point, the last bit of this post reads uncomfortably self aware to me

The read change is a bit surprising, since these posts gave me the impression that you didn't like Rad's posts:

VOTE: The toad
Saying stuff like 'if toad is town they must be hyper paranoid' is what I'm referring to.

Do you think changing an early game read is more likely to come from mafia?

VOTE: Cat scratch fever
i was planning to attack this post when i quoted it but actually i kinda like it now
i think i believe they thought this hard about the "hyper paranoid town" rad post because thinking a lot about that post is reflected in toad's trajectory

liked that they didn't try to invent a fancy reason that sounds nice here. it also lines up with them later calling their own CSF vote omgus, since this reasoning is obviously weak

I know I'm supposed to scumread Cat as well but tbh my vote on her was pretty much omgus because I didn't have anywhere to push or any scumreads and I wanted to press her vote, she's kind of fine
already pointed out but this post is really self aware, not just the supposed to but also the dissing their own read

in conclusion, idk

Bbt why are you so set on penguin after 20 pages? We're at 86. Say you're also caught up on prev 20. You're missing 46 pages of content. You're not a viable wagon right now so no need to protect yourself. Why aren't you just reading and absorbing the info?

Why are you so bothered by my Penguin read? I spent last night interacting in real time rather than catching up because that's a better way to form reads. There is only so much time I can give one game.

Can you tell me how the Frog wagon 'wasn' t sticking' and why scum!BBT would want to redirect? Instead of, say, staying on the biggest wagon outside of my own?

The frogster wagon absolutely petered out. Anyone here during that knows it. I can see a world where scum bbt comes in and sees that as an opportunity.

Do you think I'm scum with penguin and openly defending him?

I'm concerned here because town bbt utilizes all the info really well and you are clearly ignoring it.

Not ignoring, just not caught up fully yet. If I said I'm never reading those 46 pages, then you
might
have a point.

Why doesn't scum!BBT come in with a fresh Frog case and just push it? The wagon was sat at 7 votes before I unvoted.

Your reasoning for why scum!BBT redirects is literally making 0 sense. What does 'scum motivation is town!Frog push failed' even mean?

Answering this in a spoiler because it's mostly theory and you can skip it if you like (also I'm far from like the winningest guy, especially in this playerlist so what do I know?)
Spoiler:
So like the difference between anti-town and scum is
intent
and finding it is what sepereates the newbie queue from "the next stage" as you put it. Of course is hard to separate ill intent from bad play, especially when we literally have zero information, but that'swhat keeps this game fresh. At least for me.
