Moonview/IV

I think Moonview reaching out to poke and prod IV but not me (until now) is how mafia would probably like to treat each other in this setup

I don’t believe Moonview ever intended to go after him over me
I could maybe see this logic but I don't think moon/iv is the team.

I think scum!IV would be trying harder here
I stand by this

For now
Why do you stand by that again? why me

IV, do you think you'll ever have thoughts about the game?
Probably but not certain. I haven’t played in like maybe almost a year? Maybe less idk? My old playstyle was very obvtown as town and not obvtown as scum so it was fairly easy to read me. It was an unsustainable way of playing for me and I’m getting back into it sort of so I don’t really know what’s going to happen
Um, maybe I'm misunderstanding this post, but it seems like you are saying you're getting back into the playstyle of being very obvtown as town and 'not obvtown' as scum? Do you think you are very obvtown in this game?

I think Una's vote on my wagon is probably the worst of them.
In post 410, Una wrote:I think moon is being a little reductive on the reasons people suspect her and its something a bit more likely as a reaction from scum. Which is unfortunate if she is town and frustrated. But deliberately harping on the alt thing when most of Dann's points were identity independent is yugg
This post bothers me a lot. I don't think it's accurate at all - the wording of 'deliberately harping on the alt thing' seems like a way to twist what I said to make me look worse when I think Una probably 'harped' on the alt thing more than I did. For someone who says I'm being 'reductive' on the people suspect me, she also gives like, literally zero reasoning outside of this. I mean, basically the entire wagon is based on little more than me making a joke when it is not the most important thing I could have been doing at that time in the thread and people 'wanting to see what happens' in a game where mafia have little incentive not to hammer at E-1, but whatever. It looks like she feels compelled to add her own 'evidence' to the pile but I struggle to believe town!isis thinks this is actually a good argument. I also think that if she was town there would be like, some attempt to engage with me or ask me something rather than just making vague posts like that my "reaction is bad". And responding to Aisa's post with "are you scum" rather than anything substantial is just like, "yugg" in her words.

I also think mafia have more reason to jump on a wagon like mine in this setup; if mafia get eliminated on day 1, they lose, so it makes sense to try and add momentum to town wagons, especially since they know one of them will have to be sacrificed so there's not necessarily any reason to plan for how you will look after a town flip.

i think scum even Isis scum have a compulsion to show that they have thoughts and that they are Real thoughts
"are you scum" only hints towards a thought process but is mostly posted to gauge a reaction probably

I mean I think it's just a dismissive post that doesn't address anything. I agree scum would be more likely to do something else in a vacuum but I think it makes more sense for scum to do than for town to do.

I don't think it's impossible for Una to be scum here but I'm not really seeing it (I have to say this in order to not be banned for gamethrowing)

I feel like Pavowski's vote on your wagon was markedly worse tbh

especially given he's now town reading you but still has his vote on you?

VOTE: Aisa

honestly though if you're town I think it's more likely at least one scum treated your wagon as radioactive waste, maybe both if they don't know who wants to end game yet

but one scum is probably gonna be playing for the most *optics* they possibly can

that means defending "bad" town wagons, generally posting lots of walls, blah blah etc.

I mean in the nicest possible way I think I would expect more from Isis than I would from Pavowski

Also I think he has made like, more of an effort to engage in the way I would expect town to anyway by like re evaluating and at least admitting he's being memey about it. Although I am also confused about his voting decisions

I agree about iv obviously lole

idk I think surface level the reaction was overdefensive

I think the specific fixation about being mad about Not Being Allowed to Make Jokes speaks to me as townier frustration than like "scum caught for the wrong reasons"

needing to leave the thread instead of just laying into me further for a perceived ridiculous case is also probably slightly +town

and the continued hunt for the worst vote on her wagon but with shifting targets is Good

I don't really want to pick apart because I feel like I'd be activating a trap card, but this is almost exactly what I'd call information instead of analysis. Aisa doesn't comment at all on whether any parts of my push are more likely to come from scum or town, the analysis is focused on whether or not it "makes sense." It's focused on the pedantic quality of my case and that feels like the thing that is a lot easier for scum to focus on to generate content whereas town is going to be thinking about how that applies to my alignment?

also calling wishy washy is just Saying Words at this point

the "case" culminates in a vote on me in

idk the whole progression just looks like it's designed to pocket Moonview

keep in mind she doesn't actually state she thinks Moon is towny anywhere here

just that she's not "super scummy"

My serious response to this is that I don't think I am interested in hunting for the deepwolf today considering we just need to Kill A Scum to win

Seriously I think her early game was towny enough and the focus on junko felt like a town thing to me, and obviously she has been busy lately but like, idk I don't see her as close to being as likely scum than the three i mentioned

I don't agree with Dann's push on Moon (I think the push is weird, not you, Dann! You seem nice :3). I don't know Dann very well, but it sounds like multiple people here think they are a competent scum player who could fake what they have done so far, in which case townreading them seems like a mistake?
this bugged me too and it's possible I'm reading it too harshly because it's about me

but the specific phrasing of "I can't make up my mind about what Dann not hammering Una means" feels very pointedly like a player that wants to avoid town reads collating around a slot

not that she should be town reading me off of that exactly, but the explicit and deliberate dismissal of it entirely feels weird to me
