Why do you think Yos should be voting? Since I first played mafia on another site I have always thought that a person's vote is extremely important; I find it weird that you would take an interest in why Yos is not voting. Why do you take an interest in Yos's vote?
A vote is a tool, and, as town, there is no reason not to use it to the greatest extent possible - even if you are not certain someone is scum, you can use it for pressure, you can vote to see how people respond. A vote is too important
not
to be used.

@Yos: Lurkerhunt? I know it's your style, but egh. I can't get enthusiastic about lurker hunts till at least day 2.

The tubbywagon is meh. I prefer a Sir t/Seraphim wagon.

I didn't forget any previous convictions, but the sir t wagon doesn't, it seems, have any legs, and I like having my vote somewhere that it does some good.

Criticising me for joining the bandwagon
you
are on makes me think you might already know its a bad wagon.

I am not criticising the wagon, I think it is good if it gets tubby talking and stops him lurking, but I was suspicious of you because you seemed so sure that Sir T was scum and then you just hop to another wagon. Would you care to elaborate on the phrase "have any legs"; I have never heard of it before. If I understand it correctly you thought Sir T's wagon was not going anyway and was not going to result in a lynch so you jump on another which could materialise into a lynch. This coupled with the speed at which you unvoted Sir T leads me to beleive you just want someone lynched rather than someone you actually beleive to be scum.

The bolded sentence. As you acknowledged, we are both on the same wagon. I have already said I support the wagon because I think tubby needs pressuring, you on the other hand say the bandwagon "has legs" which implies you think it is a good wagon and could result in a lynch. Yet in the bolded sentence you say I might already know it is a bad wagon. If you think it is a bad wagon then why did you join it? If I have misunderstood the phrase "has legs" then I suppose you can ignore this paragraph.

I don't think its a bad wagon, and I would like it to either result in a lynch or bring tubby out of his shell so that I can get a better feeling for his alignment. At this point, I think there is a greater than average chance that tubby is scum, so I would not oppose this wagon going all the way to a lynch.

As for a wagon having legs, what I mean is exactly what you said, that the tubby wagon is going somewhere i.e. it has momentum, whereas the Sir T wagon did and does not seem to have any momentum.

OGML, what exactly is your case against Sir Tornado? I found a feeble FoS on page 4 and that's about it. Can you explain further why you think a Sir T wagon would be cool?

Confirm
vote OhGodMyLife

Too many contradictions.

I looked at what he had to say about SirT.

Let's see, there was an uncommented Vote.
Next we have "Can we talk more about how Sir Tornado is scum and needs a bigger bandwagon?"
Tries to prod Yos into joining the bandwagon, also with no actual comment on SirT
Somewhere in there he said he had found scum.

Overall though, we have no case presented by OGML against SirT, then the switch out of the blue to Tubby's wagon.

Combine that with my earlier assessment of his interaction with Yos, and I think
this
is the bandwagon that should have legs.
Ectomancer wrote: Gajeebus OGML, my intial vote for you was partly a joke to poke at BM. Now in a short space of time, you are spurring Yos to place a vote. (I dont understand your reasoning that says he should)
Next, you jump on him for producing a rather long list of lurkers? That is entirely consistent with someone who hasn't placed a vote. If he hasn't heard sufficiently from a large portion of town, doesn't that fit?
The list itself doesn't mean he is town, but it doesn't mean he is scummy either. Why does it feel like you are seeking a reason to attack him?
I have a degree in bullshit. I have patents on entire lines of bullshit. So don't sit here and feed me a line of bullshit and think that I'm not going to recognize it as one.

Puta Puta – Deliberately lurking. Has been seen on site, in New York Forum, but not posted once.
GeorgeCarlin – 2 posts so far-both full of content, but silence for the last few days. Poorly reasoned opening vote-construed to look like more than a random one. I kinda like the way he is watching people who follow his vote, but his reasoning for this is again poor.
Xyzzy – Playing for time. Lurker.
Sensfan – Responded to Prod today. No other posts.
Panda – Not posted thus far. Either absent, or lurking.
ZTR – Seems lazy. Hasn’t posted any content so far. Not sure if he intends to play for the full duration.
Natirasha – Random Self-Vote. Unlimited V/LA since then.
Killa Seven – Posted once-no content. Fairly standard for him.
Tubby – Made a random vote, and has been legitimately V/LA since.
Militant – Nothing insightful so far. Has been nearly active enough at this point and legitimately V/LA, but promised comments and has not delivered within his self-imposed time limit.

Unvote, Vote: Puta Puta

When did you make this list? Nat has since returned and tubby has made several comments pretty much confirming that he is a lurker who needs to be lynched. Militant has also made several comments and is participating. Sensfan has posted quite a few times. Are you reading this game, BM?

The same question could be asked of you. In post 252 BM said that he was constructing a list of lurkers but Yos decided to as well so BM did not need to post his. BM then said post 259 "screw it", BM decided to post his lurker list as well. The list must have been compiled roughly about the same time as Yos's was. Which explains why it is now inaccurate because as you said some of the people on the list have now started to post.

But there are times when the best way to use a vote is to not cast it right away, when the implied threat of a possible vote is more likely to get useful reactions then an actual vote would.

Speaking of which, I still do want to hear from Sir T, and see what he thinks about the wagon on him (even if that wagon's gone away now).
@Yos: Lurkerhunt? I know it's your style, but egh. I can't get enthusiastic about lurker hunts till at least day 2.
When day 1 can last as long as a month, letting someone get away with lurking the whole time without even noting it seems like a bad idea. It's more effective to stay on top of it and keep people active the whole time, instead of waiting until day 2 and then expecting them to catch all the way up or be replaced.

Letting people lurk for all of day 1,leting them get by without commenting on any day one wagons at all, just seems bad for the town.
