Not defending the slot, I just think there are much more interesting and useful things that could be done right now.

As I've stated I've found with my experience that it iscommon for scum, newbie scum especially, to open games with this sort of tone.

I think this tone comes from smug town more than nervous scum, especially because of this line:

If a replacement is actually needed, yes, it's pointless to try to pressure now. If Weuler is just being shy, though, this is hopefully encouragement not to be shy. I don't think it's a foregone conclusion yet that we need a replacement.

In a game with new players I really don't think it's a great idea to put that kind of pressure on any slot super early in the proceedings, even though I don't really think a quickhammer is super likely here
