This reaction from shirou seems theatrically and hilariously overdone.

I mean even outside of the part thats obviously performative on purpose.

It's less the form than the function that i find over the top if that makes any sense.

Seems like narratively in terms of thread momentum it piles on meuh in a way that allows you to not actually take any credit for creating that pressure yourself.

Spoiler: For Fire's eyes only, meaningless post
Well Fire, when I'm the most honest I am usually considered the most suspicious, but I will still tell you anyway why of that.

I think I just don't care as much about my town games anymore, but even if I did, if I was to get too serious there's a good chance it would just become a trainwreck. In my last game (Guiltylion was there, ask him) I was very negative utility to town because I convinced people to do the wrong thing, and that's something quite frequent on all my town games that became a trainwreck; I consider myself a big part of the cause. Even in TM 2021 Black Flag which I consider one of my best performances as town, had I been wrong on Auro that game would have turned into a trainwreck as well, again I feel because of me, but since I was right on Auro my play was "good" and we stomped scum.

I don't want my games to so often turn dramatic, so I'm trying to play more casually, but if I'm not trying to warp the game to go along with me like a drama queen I need to entertain myself with something else, so I keep making that sort of posts I guess?

I will probably still deathtunnel someone eventually but I'm trying to hold back here, and it's genuinely a bit easier because I kinda have given up about improving my town game beyond what I already can do. I will not become as good as the town players I admired/wanted to copy and that's fine to me by now.

I think I'm better fit to be part of the supporting cast in town games, and maybe I'm wrong but I believe one of my best abilities as town is to get a wagon going when I want it as long as I don't get too emotional/implode/am patient. Used in the wrong direction it's been proven to be very detrimental to both wincon and "fun", so it's
one
of the reasons I'm acting more over the top like this.

Why would I want credit of it? And how? That argument would be valid if this wasn't a dance game and Meuh my partner. Dead man don't take credits, they already are at the rolling credits screen you know?

This is fair, I don't personalize my way of reading every player that much so it's not really something that came across my mind. To me it just seemed like Ari took a riskier option that I don't think scum would opt for and it stuck out to me as something town indicative. (I've seen stubbornness be town indicative a good amount)

this is a reasonable mech point, wouldn't make any sense for you to try to trade yourself for your town partner.

Ok, I can understand how it comes across as a bit unnatural, but I don't see how you're making the step from "oh this is off from midway" to "it's opportunistic scum"
cuz I think off stuff comes from town a lot of the time and I really don't see what makes that moment scummy
Eh, I mean yeah townies do scummy stuff all the time, otherwise it'd be extremely easy to find scum. I don't really see why this should stop me from seeing you as scum from your odd behaviour. For me a large part of finding town is identifying the townie thought processes behind posts and your stance on the whole VPB question thing seems just, to not be coming from that mindset.

I magnanimously forgive your push on me mhm. I need to try to remember that scum TM game from you, your takes so far sound organic but I remember wrongly town leaning you for something similar

I'm good at replicating my town game as scum and I'm bad at correctly reading people as town, which helps with the first thing.

I'm not too sure honestly, haven't played scum in a while.
I recall being pretty passive and kind of letting go of my arguments last time I played scum, but I also played like shit so I'm not sure it's a good basis to apply to the players in this game, the scumteam's probably gonna be more skillful.

You're probably underselling yourself but this sort of argument reminds me of certain players that were known to not be good at replicating their town game as scum and therefore it made their town game stronger since they were almost unable to be miseliminated by the scum team...

I am very much prepared for tonight's dinner, lady Shirou! The food will surely be
lovely
, though not nearly as wonderful as you, truly!

I've worn the armour you recommended, though I hope it doesn't end up being a necessity, how
tragic
this would be! Oh my! A dinner together organized by you would be the perfect opportunity to slip some poison in the poor prince's cup of wine, but you would never do such a thing, right?

I must say, I miss a bit the town reads that would usually appear by now when I was more solvy. Other than maybe TSQ push on me, people read on me feel...kinda random and biased? Maybe Cakez's isn't bad either. I think they are all negative reads as well though.

One of the ways I like sorting is based on people's read on me (It's not OMGUS I swear!) so I hope people will try their luck on my slot on more details if they haven't already?

In fact, @Norwe, what's your take on me here?
