So??? Do people actually think that her naked vote for Black was somehow meant to mean that she really wanted to eliminate Black instead there?

I guess I was holding onto feelings from D1. I was quite confident in my Elements/STD scum team, so from that perspective the hammer was unexpected. That's also why I made my recent analysis post to sort my thoughts out.

You've known for two days that that couldn't be the scum team. Feels kind of performative to vote then unvote shortly afterwards over it.

I sort of felt like this was the expected course of action at the end of day yesterday and that made me more wary of it, but with all the confTown suspicious of him I'll go ahead and VOTE: Weuler

Quick few posts that caught my eye on a re-read of the thread before we get bogged down in analyzing the end of d1.
In post 298, Elements wrote: I think all this talk about the slip and reaction to it isn't helpful in finding player's alignments
Townslip, this was around the time the Weuler/Aureal/Python fight was getting pretty toxic (Sorry about that, most of it was coming from me). Scum has every reason to let town be toxic and self-destruct, more so than the minimal amount of towncred that comes with trying to break up a fight that's looking like it's no longer productive
In post 304, Black wrote: If Weuler flips town I think it'll be worth looking at Element's progression on him. She townread him early and hasn't had much else to say about him other than he seems wooden, and telling others their votes on Weuler are good votes. Then feels comfortable enough to put him at e-1

My issue isn't the read but I come from a place where bandwagon votes with little explanation or analysis raise eyebrows. I'll admit in my short time here the meta seems wildly different, but it's worth noting. I try to check my bias here because it formed on a different site but I think it'll be a good lead depending on Weuler's alignment

If Weuler flips wolf then I will feel a lot better about Elements. I don't think wolf!Elements would bus their partner in this way. There would be plenty of opportunities for wolf!Elements to take pressure off wolf!Weuler instead of just voting for him and encouraging others to vote for him with little to no reasoning
I missed this when writing and it pretty much invalidates my entire argument there, not much more to say about it really

Seems like whenever I post my reasoning no one reads it
In post 752, usesPython wrote: for now I'm down to push Weuler with the expectation they'll flip scum or STD/Elements with the expectation that neither of them are that much likelier than average to flip scum but either of them flipping town generates a good amount of content for d2
The only reason for me to be on a Weuler wagon d1 instead of d2 is if I think they can't get elim'd d2. If they can get elim'd though then I'd rather do STD -> Weuler instead of Weuler -> STD for a few reasons.

1. scum!STD implicates scum!Weuler () whereas scum!Weuler doesn't really say anything meaningful about what alignment STD is.
2. scum!Weuler being alive lets them generate content for finding the other scum
3. Consider the kind of game we're in with all possible flips:

Weuler flips scum: 1v6 with no real info on the other scum, still a really good place to be
Weuler flips town: 2v5 with no info on either scum since pretty much everyone scumread Weuler. Essentially a loss barring any crazy good plays
STD flips scum: 1v6 with an obvscum, basically unlosable at this point
STD flips town: 2v5 with an obvscum and interesting VCA, not that bad of a place to be

Thus, what would have gotten me off the STD wagon onto the Weuler wagon?

1. Getting a townread on STD
2. Not being able to flip STD and settling for Weuler

Whoops, I see now. I guess I just thought there was more to it. I didn't mean for it to seem like I didn't read your reasoning XD you have to admit it was kinda tucked away a little

Do you still think Aureal is scum? If so I'm curious if you think an Aureal/Weuler scum team is possible since she has pretty much been gunning for him all game

At worst she's null. Right now I'm satisfied with the following solve until Elements comes back and furtive finishes catching up:

1. Flip Weuler
2. If Weuler is scum, flip Elements and gg
3. If Weuler isn't scum, flip Human
4. If Human is scum, flip furtive and gg

My craptop crashed and I don't want to repeat myself, I'll just give the TLDR on pages 20-30

Elements looking scummy for votehopping and interaction with STD
Human getting townier for looking genuinely clueless and unpartnered with the thread/entire world
Aureal getting townier for charitable stance on Elements

I think it's Elements and Weuler

I still think Weuler is probs town

I was going to push Meg today for the unvote on Weuler but guess I won't be doing that!

VOTE: python
This vote is just strange considering Weuler's stance on Elements. I think the natural thing to do if Elements was town or if Weuler/Elements was T/S would just be to omgus, but Elements sidesteps it and calls Weuler 'probs town' when I don't think Weuler's been towny at all
