Regarding HLE I don't have strong reads one way or the other. I got town vibes from it saying we shouldn't use the dayvig, but I'm getting wolf vibes from this post:

This one normally wouldn't be super opposed to killing someone scummy right here and now, but due to the nature of the game it believes that maximizing our time to discuss is vital. Anyone pushing to get Kokichi (or anyone, for that matter) to hammer any time short of like, deadline day, is going to be on my radar.

It doesn't make sense for HLE to have this opinion but not suspect Gimli like...at all

I just don't buy it was a gambit by kame, I think he has to say something to defend himself now anyway so saying that is as good as anything. I think it's relevant that kokichi/HPE/black all defended kawaii to some extent (with black ignoring kawaii and pushing me for confidence) so we have a completely fitting story to push throguh and figure out. koki wasn't working for kira cause everyone was fine hanging him. with kawaii there's more resistance with much less reasoning to be townreading. I started getting heat by black after I was set with the kawaii flip and whatnot.

I also think it's funny that koki is saying people are sheeping me when everyone that's scumreading kawaii is doing so independently, clearly. it's just a blatantly scum play so far and defending it from the angle of 'gimli is sus' doesn't feel right.

Still don't know where you're getting a Kawaii defense from especially now that the whole "daykill" thing is sorted.

Also in general this one is... disappointed in you Gimli. This is a fall from grace for sure. This one does not particularly to read the other games because it couldn't care less about the meta aspect, and especially because what's right in front of it makes it very very wary of you. There is a case to be made for a scumlean Kawaii but there is no way in hell this flimsy Kira!Kawaii case is going anywhere, because it just doesn't make any sense off-paper. This one isn't particularly keen on Kawaii still because it doesn't think they've actually done a whole lot towny outside of their defense (447 is

. At the same time there's a point you could make about a reasonable defense against a shitpush being NAI but this isn't a defense of Kawaii so who cares), but even it can see you're blowing their scumminess out of proportion.

, you noticed me being gone because of what I said, me drawing attention to myself like that achieves the opposite of me fading away, in fact it made me an entity by causing me to come back when you called out my red-herring, I like the call out, showed you had a town mindset, but now you're being overconfident tunneling me on pure circumstance, if I assume good faith. the newbie that just ended had kawaii making some 400 posts. while that's not enough to scumcase someone, its clear from kawaii's posts that they're having a hard time producing content. other than pushing me and defending themselves, I wouldn't say kawaii done anything this game, and that contradicts with their freshest town meta of being involved.

kawaii said that was all theatre to be read as kira so they could farm reactions from it. I simply do not believe that to be the case, I think kawaii wasn't looking scummy on purpose.

kawaii isn't scum just because he did exactly what he said he'd do as kira; but because the meta read and the truthtelling are accurate descriptions of someone picking up this role and being incredibly self conscious about it.

As to why I'm disengaged with this game, this is intentional, I want people to think I'm Kira to see how Kira/followers react to me, though I was tempted to ask why Black is 0% follower with Gimli being 100% town, I held back to attempt this gambit

It's possible followers exist in Kokichi/HPE, though I'm not finding saying I should not be eliminated to be sufficient evidence, it doesn't make total sense to defend me as followers if their genuine belief is I am town

Wait. I missed this from kawaii somehow and this seems weird. I was thinking Kawaii wasn't around much this weekend and that they might have felt overwhelmed due to this game having a much different ruleset and mechanics than the newbie games. I was not expecting this response

Resistance =/= Correct. As an obvious example, pushing a confirmed Cop is going to get you a giant pile of it. You're getting resistance because people don't see you as having a point or making a good read, unlike Kokichi who several people agreed was acting scummy. It's secondhand defense by virtue of the push itself being bad even if none of us are exactly Kawaii fans.

I would say Kawaii!Kira is the most likely cause so far.

I actually agree with Gimli for the initial reas of the situation. Tonally you were pressing reason why not to kill Kawaii while also not explicitly defending them. Scum partners obviously don't want each other dead but don't want to be openly proclaiming the other as town in case of a red flip. Obviously that's much less so with scum being mostly uniformed and I don't think your play afterwards leads into being a kawaii partner, but I also had the same initial thought reading throufh it.
