I would say you're thinking about the role wrong.
As a doc you shouldn't be trying to stop the kill. If you go out of your way to stop a kill, you will most likely not stop a kill.

Doctors have a hidden ability that isn't written in their role pm. This ability is "The person you target will be alive tomorrow baring a strongman."
Another way to see the mafia kill is "This is the mafia telling the pl that this player is not mafia, usually this means town."

We can use this to sort players into 3 buckets.
- Players that Village would be happy to see dead as their flip is helpful to the village.
- Players that are pretty obviously town but are not threatening to wolves.
- Players that are obviously town and are threatening to wolves.

Me and mala had the added factors of the fact that we both work 60-70 hours a week and we had both lost someone important to us around the time of the last time we hydra'd together

Anyway, my biggest scum read is ircher, which I laid out the case for in my "if I die" post during the night phase in the neighborhood

I had suspicions of wavelength, albeit weak ones, and mostly based on associative tells between the slot and Marashu / ircher. Wave's play today has been perfectly cromulent so I'm not completely confident on that solve

I do feel like Pink is quite possibly third party, and after the refusal to claim flavor, I told LLD in the hood that I was assuming his flavor was Freddy Krueger. Merking the slot is not a priority as ircher is my strongest scum read. Pink's play today has been more town and most of the neighborhood seemed to agree that the slot was town when I asked on day one.

As I said, I laid out my reasoning before the day started, and so I no longer feel some of it applies, hence my use of "had" in the past tense.

Ircher named your slot as scum with Alisae and Marashu which I felt to be ridiculous. To me it felt like the old "name two scum and a town," with Ali being the town. You had posted in 440 that you "leaned scum" on both Marashu and ircher. I felt like on face value, that both of these were potential attempts to distance from one another. Marashu also parked what they called an "RVS vote" on you and never moved it off. I concluded that of ircher and yourself, you were the weakest of my scum reads because it was partially based on an unflipped player that I read as scum. I also concluded that if it's not you then my gut tells me it's Pink Ball or Flea.

That's essentially where I was during the overnight phase of the game.

It is weird that his miller claim specifies both cop invests and tracking invests if we exist in a game without a cop invest.

Like why would he not be just a tracking invest miller?

I was waiting for all claims to see if we had one hiding anywhere, but no one claimed.

I don't see how that's weird. A miller doesn't necessarily mean the corresponding role is in play.

Kuribo came into this day claiming doc. He claimed it to LLD first thing and it’s what he came out with after it been revealed that there’s a redirector. If he’s a wolf he knows that coming into this day the redirector is going to get exposed. I don’t think it’s him. If he’s a wolf I think I’m just going to say that I deserve to lose. I think the simplest explanation is that the guy is town.
His claim is also pretty detailed so I’m like happy with it.

I don’t think it’s Ircher. I get why people think guy is obvwolf so if I get outvoted here it is what it is, but I think if Ircher is a wolf, they would probably try to use wave getting Flea’s mask against Wave.
My theory for this redirect is that wolves don’t have enough information to get the most out of their redirect and they can’t interact with me so they used their power to try to make Wave look more sus. I feel like if Ircher is a wolf, he would use this redirect to his advantage to try to push the player.

I don’t think killing pb is a good idea today.
