I'm not so sure on Kerplunck's claim. I suppose we could have a cop check him out, but I'm not really sure how a cop would transmit that infomation without giving himself away.

Oh, and on my vote being the fifth one, there's really nothing to it but that I miscounted the number of votes on him.

I don't see much of a reason to push Kerplunk.I mean its a fairly believable role claim.I don't have many suspicions right now though.

I'm going to be gone fot the weekend; I should be back Sunday night.
unvote: Kerplunck

Well I'm not sure about his claim, I think we can wait a bit, and I wouldn't want my vote to push him over while I'm gone.

Nah -- let's just call it what it is: wrong. Okey doke?

CoolBot -- is there any reason you keep misspelling Kerplunk's name? I don't think I've ever seen you get a name wrong before and I'm starting to wonder if there's something more to it.

Difficult to point any people how are suspicious to me. MeMe was eagerly to get lynched, to get me bandwagonned is maybe a better term. Coolbot voted a fifth vote, which is dangerous. And maybe there's more scum on the bandwagon against me. But I don't really see it. It looked like a normal random bandwagon to me, with little reasoning behind it. But that are most bandwagons on day 1.

Well, not much has changed, but I like (almost) daily vote counts, so:

Kerplunk: 2 (Demeech, Shelper)
MeMe: 2 (Mathcam, DS)
CoolBot: 1 (massive)

Not voting: the other six of you.

Tentative deadline set for Wednesday, 3:00 PM US Eastern Time.

Deadline already? Course, it's not till Wednesday, but still.

That is sort of weird though, that CoolBot keeps mispelling Kerplunk's name.
Vote CoolBot
, although we won't get an explanation, if any, until tomorrow night.[/b]

vote:coolbot

Just realized only 6 were needed to lynch, putting the fifth vote is a bit dangerous.

I'm not really sure what to think of coolbot's misspelling of names as he got prizm's right back on page 1.

I remember that in the Robots-mini, players spelled the name of Isaac incorrectly (Issac), there nothing behind it. It is strange, but probably nothing.

Something more to a misspell.... I doubt it. My vote still stands.
Confirm vote MeMe.

Confirming a vote? Usually I reserve that for when I want to say "I'm so dang sure this person is guilty that I'm gonna make sure everyone sees me voting for them...
again
." Is that what you're trying to say DS?

Um...Last time you posted in this thread, it was a random vote on MeMe. But you're sure enough of this "random" vote to confirm it?

My vote stays on CoolBot for now, but a big

I'm mispelling Kerplunck? *checks back* Oh, no c. How 'bout that.

I really don't know why I've been mispelling Kerplunk. The only explanation I can offer is, to me, his name doens't look right without the c. Still, I don't see how this makes me scum.

Prizm, now I'm alittle suspicious of MeMe. I don't see how misspelling a person's name is all that suspicious. It sounds to me like she's trying to shift focus to Coolbot. Why? We're going to go after someone for spelling a person's name wrong? Sounds like a wild goose case to me.

This is what kicked off the wagon on CoolBot. I didn't accuse him, I didn't even consider it suspicious -- it was others who ran with it. I just wanted an explanation from him. Frankly, I was wondering if it was a role requirement of some sort, e.g. he found out Kerplunk was guilty, but he's not allowed to
say
it straight out, or something along those lines. I have enjoyed the various responses to my query, however. I always think it's interesting when people fill in the blanks rather than waiting for the person to whom the question was posed to give a definitive answer.

I'm mispelling Kerplunck?
Great, now he's misspelling misspelling ("mispelling"). He
must
be mafia. :) In any case, he has now demonstrated that it's not a role requirement to misspell names, though of course it could be that he gets some weird perk for doing it. It seems fairly unlikely to me, though, and even if it were true, it might be for the good of the town anyway.

Of course, the 5th vote thing is still a little suspicious. Often it's some newbie jumping and putting on the next to last vote. But CoolBot's no newbie, thus making it even more suspicious. I don't seem to be convinced enough to vote, however.

MeMe, I think by what you said you tried to get people to run with that idea. There are a couple of newbies in this game and I'm banking on the fact that you tried to make misspelling someone's name look suspicious. Now there might be a bandwagon forming on him.

And I've told you that you're wrong. If CoolBot had logged on and answered earlier this wouldn't even be an issue. It'd be more profitable for us to look at the people who took my comments and made them into bandwagon fodder -- those are the ones possibly setting someone up for blame (namely me) if an innocent is lynched. What's usually the case? That the one whose comments
instigate
a bandwagon is guilty or that the ones going trying to look like followers on that bandwagon are guilty?

MeMe, the people who voted for Coolbot didn't do it only because he misspelled my name, but also because he placed that 5th vote.
MeMe wrote:What's usually the case? That the one whose comments instigate a bandwagon is guilty or that the ones going trying to look like followers on that bandwagon are guilty?
Dunno know. But I think you are currently making the followers look bad. Are you trying to have yourself covered in case Coolbot is lynched and is innocent?

Well, my goodness. I don't care much about having myself covered if CoolBot is innocent as I wasn't trying to start a bandwagon in the first place.

Vote Count

MeMe: 3 (DS, Kerplunk, mathcam)
CoolBot: 3 (Shelper, Prizm, massive)
Kerplunk: 2 (Saigon, Demeech)

The deadline stands unless two or three people ask for an extension (provided they have a decent reason).

I think I'm going to
unvote: Kerplunk
and
vote:MeMe
for two reasons.

1. MeMe has been acting slightly suspicious, maybe not enough for a lynch but it's not like we've seen anything more suspicious. I also realise from other ames I've been following that MeMe always seems to act like this, but like I said we don't really have a clear alternative.

2. I really don't want this to end up as the never ending day 1s I keep reading about. I also realise it's considered quite scummy to try to end day 1 as quickly as possible but I really can't see any hope of a mafia making any big mistakes in the near furure so... if day one will never end, I'd even prefer me getting bandwagoned, but that wouldn't be very helpful for the town so no! That isn't a suggestion :D
