Oh yeah... that one made sense when I was thinking deflector/busdriver > redirector, but we kind of discounted that possibility
Role madness is a pain, and this game makes me think that simpler set ups are more my jam :/

I am, but I don't generally play upicks.
I've only played one before, and it was a lot simpler then this. Mostly ended up being a lot of hoods. Not a bunch of confusing night action shenanigans

Technically if LLD is town the Claw shouldn't work or it would be the same as being at ELo: scum would coordinate and eliminate the one who's being voted. But given the shenanigans of this game, I could target scum the next night and the game wouldn't be over
