I think I've scrambled for scumreads in almost every single town game I have played in the last few years
It is a natural consequence of forming my reads largely by finding people I think are town and PoEing the rest

I find town much much more effectively than I find scum.

Being more effective at finding town doesn't mean I'm going to immediately assume people are town
I use reasons that are compelling to me and townread people based on them

In particular when it comes to kuribo and Ircher, I very much tend towards looking at things behaviourally before really even considering mech
I didn't have thoughts about the likelihood of scum choosing to claim Masons or similar until much later. But kuribo's behaviour surrounding it all felt very off to me.

Because I feel like I've very clearly been looking for townreads
It'd be different if you were saying I was doing both of those things, or like putting an emphasis on pushing scumreads, which I think is a fair assessment
I guess I'm feeling a compulsion to have ***impact*** that comes from Team Mafia, and I'm kind of trying to train myself into being able to effectively find scum instead of just town
Which is probably misguided because finding town is totally valid as a strategy but I guess I'm trying to broaden my scope

You being town changes other townreads I had so I'm rereading some parts of the game to see what I'm at.

Those two are independently scummy and I think that their back and forth yesterday was too "timely" as in they were both being pushed and in PoEs so it could've been an opportunity to distance themselves. Klick interaction with me is not outside what I've been feeling this game that's being pocketed by him. Dunn's self meta does check out though.

Point is, I have to read some slots again, starting with Titus.

My teammates aren't really keeping up with this game in real-time, I'm getting more comments here or there than consistent content
But more generally, no, none of my teammates have weighed in on the veracity of kuribo's claim at all

I feel pretty confident in Black town, I don't think this is her scum game at all and some of her takes seem very genuine

I could vote Dunn, I can't help myself but vote for the scumread who is positioned better in Titus but Dunn has pretty good odds of flipping scum imo

Interested in your Shea read as well as your confidence in FA/GIF town. If I can actually rely on your GIF read I feel like it greatly simplifies this game because it means a lot of my more questionable slots like Shea/Dunn/PB are just scum

Oh we do. I'll just claim it at this point. Everything about my role is already out in the open

I'm a Caterer. I can target someone tonight. If they are town they get my role. If they are scum or if they die then the role is put back into the pool and randomly given to someone

PB was Caterer yesterday and he's claiming to have targeted me

Also, I'm fine with Black town or scum with PB.

Yeah both of these could make sense. I don't think PB can be confirmed town here. There's a chance he is scum that couldn't use the role and it got randomly assigned to me

And there's also a chance that YOU are scum, and the role was returned to the pool and then assigned to you.

So we have Kuribo aligned with Ircher, Black only scum if PB is and PB scum unlikely. It is theoretically possible PB detected crumbs and lied about the target but unlikely.

That's a decent start.
