I don't think the game being slow paced was a factor at the time. One day went by where redff didn't even post, and then redff hammered, and then redff posted at the start of the day.In post 165, The Bulge wrote:

i didnt disagree with the content of your post i just thought "what is up with that" was a silly question with an obvious answer. like i wasnt sure what was so confusing about a nonserious vibe in the gamestate we had here d1In post 85, Dunnstral wrote:In post 67, The Bulge wrote:

You seem to disagree with me in your first post here but then you come to the same conclusion anyway. Or are you seeing this as different from what I'm saying? In post 69, The Bulge wrote: would love for red to chime in. im not ready to call him scum for the hammer, it didnt seem all too serious and given the gamestate idk if its even AI. but without a comment from him at this point the game will continue to stall and that pushes him right off the fence between trolling and antitown.
my point is you're comparing red's play in normal games and red's play in maybe the slowest moving game ive ever seen and not considering the difference that makes in how serious one can really be, esp on page 2
And I don't think that is just the thing, really. It wasn't obvious to me, they could have explained it if they thought so, but instead we have you explaining it for them and them not commenting at all. This is really just your interpretation IMO.-

that's true, and my intent isnt to explain red's actions on his behalf, i know that can be frustrating. im offering my understanding of the situation, why it doesnt strike me as odd or even necessarily scum-motivated. sometimes you have to do it for the bit. red's response to the situation (43, 79) leads me to believe in my hunch that it was nai trolling. im not defending him as town, and if i were taking this game more seriously i wouldnt be defending his actions at all but it made me chuckle and shake my head. he's a nullread for me atm but im not sure the lolhammer will ever factor into my read of the slot.-

I'll vote red probably like sometime today. I think if they're scum it's like 50/50 that we'll see a selfhammer so I don't want to invite that without giving people a chance to say they want more time for something today.-

I realize I used the word "today" twice in that post; the first one is real-life day, the second is game-day-

If the entire case is the quickhammer, it's not a good case. Just because quickhammering is anti town, doesn't make me scum. Townies can be antitown.-

Red should claim“There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say, ‘There are two kinds of people in this world: those who say there are two kinds of people in this world, and the other kind,’ and those whodon’tsay. Well, then there’s me.” — J.R. “Bob” Dobbs-

I would say I find them the most likely to flip scum. Considering today is roughly a day 1 flip scenario I won't be too torn about it if its actually town but I think its the best lim. Bulge seems to work as the most obviious partner but is by no means the only possible one.
Doing blatantly scummy things and trying to wifom out of the consequences is a normal move and I don't like how red has defended their day 1 actions as well as not vibing with their play in general today.Imprefection is the spice of life.-

I think it's perfectly possible for red-scum to claim VT here.
I'll probably hammer at... some point. unexpectedly. or maybe just if the day still seems dead later, i'm really lazy about voting/hammering sometimes.-

im thinking umlaut bc his play has seemed somewhat informed. like if a townie is trudging thru mud to figure out the game, umlaut is riding on paved roads. he's making more sense of things than i think the game thread has to offer, if that makes any sense. also like implo said a lot of where umlaut is going in terms of questioning and providing insights strikes me as obligatory.
partner could be asri? not sure who else i'd put there, meg seems unlikely and i read everyone else as town.-

Idk, I'm kind of uninterested in pursuing another claim and narrowing down the pool on our probably-useful other PR. red could easily just think that their scumbuddy isn't winning it and that they need to stay alive as long as possible. In post 194, The Bulge wrote:

Like yeah, I agree "proper" play for red-scum here would be to claim PR but I think historically factually, plenty of scum have been in situations similar to red's and claimed VT.-
