I think more than just that there's also some forum bug that is preventing title changes. No reason we can't keep spitballing, but it might be a while before any titles can be handed out.

Not that I can give the title out, but I can still go through the formality of approving it prolly tomorrow or so. (And yes, the issue preventing me from handing out titles is still there, I just checked right now.)

Bad news is, I still can't hand out titles!

Good news is, for whatever reason, despite my inability to, AniX can, so we're going old old school with the process where I don't have the power to grant titles but I do have the authority to approve them and have to ask the administrator to give the approved title.

It ain't ideal, but it's better than nothing, so we're (kinda) back in business!

Let me just explain a little further what is the issue is, apologizing in advance for sounding like a toddler explaining to you basic animal facts because I barely understand the tech aspect of this myself: The ability to grant titles (known as ranks in the programming) is not ACTUALLY broken. It is, however, restricted to people with administrative power. Prior to the update, we had a certain plug-in in our Administration Control Panel (basically the backstage guts of the forum) that allowed to isolate the administrative power to grant ranks and then give that power to non-admin users: In this case, the Title Fairy. When we updated, we lost the ability to use the plug-in and thus the power to grant ranks has gone back to default, those with administrative power aka me.

Firstly i greatly appreciate it and secondly would it be at all okay if my title were capitalized so that it would be indistinguishable from natural goons (for several of the reasons i mentioned when self-advocating)

Nominate DeasVail for Exuberant Exile

In Survivor South Bend (most recent survivor meet), one of the twists was having two rounds where a player is exiled and thus temporarily not part of a tribe. DV managed to get himself exiled both times and embraced it with funny photos. The first time was due to him winning the first challenge, so it was something he earned. It's a unique achievement to get exiled multiple times in a game. It's not even that common in general to have 1 exile opportunity on a game. Going 2 for 2 on getting exiled in a 17 player game was funny and unexpected.

Exuberant is not just there for the alliteration. DV is someone who spreads positivity to those around him and has demonstrated this as GTKAS mod and by having a thread where he complimented community members. He is gracious to the mods of games and events he participates in.

Nominate DeasVail for Silver Medalist

DV holds the most runner-up titles for Survivor games on our site (4). It's an achievement to outlast most of your competitors and represents that DV has made it far and overcame a lot through these games. Losing at the finals can be taxing and discouraging because it involves you needing to defend and make a case for your gameplay being most deserving. My intention with the wording of the title was to frame it as more of a body of work achievement rather than something more like "always a bridesmaid." IMO that is more respectful. Having been runner up multiple times does also influence his strategy in more recent games on the forum or online.
