I’ve basically just accepted that i will be wrong 50% of the time, but that’s ok. I’m trying and i have fun playing the game even if i don’t get it right.

Yeah real talk, I came back to the site recently, why is it that like half the people around at the moment don't like using their vote at all?

Is there like an actual reason for it?

Mafia is a really hard game and it's not easy to play well, so there aren't a lot of players that really know what they're doing.
For me, I know what I am good at, I know what I'm not good at, and I've kind of defined my playstyle and how it is I approach the game.
A lot of people when they're villagers kind of just post what's on their mind and don't rly move about the game with intention

I mean my point would be, who cares about playing well, play for fun.

Maybe people's inherent fear of being wrong? I know that's a problem on my HS, but the problem there is a lot worse than what we're seeing here and i eventually gave up on it.

I enjoy a good puzzle solve or two every now and then that's why I play.

Also just as a rule of thumb, not using your vote actively harms your chance at a win IMO, since VCA is a strong tool, but with the people on the site atm, it feels like VCA is off the table because no one uses their vote anyway.

I was a terrible sheeple player when i played my first game on my HS and somehow got NK'd N1 after doing absolutely nothing other than following the sheep mentality of No Limming because scum was trying to bait the newbies into thinking that was the normal thing to do, after switching vote to someone else then day ended and i died. After spectating the game while dead i learned about MS and came here, where i learned how to properly play.
At the time my HS, was pretty much similar to MS in how people played, including long deadlines, similar setups, etc. Heck even the rules and roles were mostly borrowed from here.
After a long time of the mafia subforum on my HS being dead, it revived and i wanted to play again, but the game was filled with newbies that dont know how to play and are too scared of voting and making a mistake. They tend to end day 1's in no lim and fiddle their thumbs and do WIFOM NKA.
It was so bad that i modded a VERY HEAVIL TOWNSIDED game, and town still lost.
At that point i just lost hope lol.

Now i hope something similar doesn't happen here.

my first forum mafia game i was scum who fake claimed cop and then faked a guilty on a player day 3, then somehow magically evaded elim day 4 to quick hammer a townie to win the game.
