i wouldn't say scum are playing bad, they're giving a spirited effort, but town is mostly kind of crushing it. if they have a successful vote on D1 I think it's likely to snowball quickly because they'll have several players they can townclear alongside the masons.
no one is perfect but multiple players have 2/3 scum in their sights and that mean the walls are closing in very quickly. i don't want to say it's unwinnable but scum would need a drastic shift in tactics from their current approach. atp i think sending one player deep via bussing is prrrroooobably their best but? but even then they'd run out of mis-elims. lurkers like mala or dunn are viable but you have masons who are hanging around at the lower end of the post count without getting actually suspected (they can't know this, of course, but it still complicates things significantly)
in this situation, were i calling the shots, i think having the rest of the team go in on on bussing shadi with shadi possibly voting superbowl as the counterwagon would work here - the superbowl wagon is already too large to get much credit for it, but with the push on shadi dying down slightly they can take credit for it and make superbowl look like a potentially scum driven push. shadi i think has no realistic chance of endgaming unfortunately.
opportunity has passed, if they'd started the counterpush on shadi they could have reaped credit from it but town has got their on their own, so...not a lot they can do?
i guess theoretically scum could make an all-out press to kill datisi - i don't know if that's likely to succeed long term but it's better than letting inertia kill one of their own
e: and i check and see that is what bell is going for, so good on him for trying
does seem like it'll work, though i wonder if this is a case of winning the battle to lose the war - still datisi wouldn't be killable if he got scum flipped today so today was the only day they could get this mis-elim. how scum plays off this will be critical. i think town will
probably
look into the counterwagons on day 2 and how they play off that will be critical
masons aren't really communicating much at all which isn't yekaterina's fault, it's trying the best it can but teammates aren't even using the PT at all which is pretty poor form on their part
superbowl i think has the right conclusion that they need to start distancing the next day. bell has a relatively good shot at endgaming if he picks up a little towncred and the scumteam is able to narrow down the masons effectively
i have to admit i'm kind of rooting for him here because it'd be really fun to see it - think he's played quite well so far
realizing i probably should have prodded malakittens during night 1 given she might have just totally disappeared. too late to do anything about it though given prod now might be taken as alignment confirming etc. but i don't love potentially having an empty slot for 3 days at day start.
claiming mason as has been discussed in the scum pt is pretty willfully bad - in theory generates readable reactions for mason hunting but always outs you, and people can call bs on it given most of the game will have called you scum at some point

or potentially it enables dunn to somehow big brain gambit??
