If scum are backed into a corner I could see them trying to pull out of torture for another project to buy some time. I don’t think that’s going to happen because it’s so blatant but I’d rather not be blindsided if it does and we still have the option to maintain control (via unused votes).

I went back and looked through Marcis most recent games. This gameplay definitely reminds me of her play in anime music, including where she kind of just stopped playing (although that was towards the end), and she was town in that. The only scum game I read was one where she was a Hydra with gamma emerald- she was a lot more engaged in it though maybe that's bc she was hydra-ing.

I can see where I could be wrong, it's meta with a player I've never played before. But I haven't really seen a good case to lim her either. Is it a bummer that she's not really playing that much? Yeah. But I just don't see that as ai. Id rather go snivy or aureal.

I got my answer re: Recount.

Election Security ($10,000)

-- tomorrow, there will be no voting tricks (all vote weights will be one, secret extra votes won't count, etc.)

The Billboard is quite clear that secret votes are a possibility, so that got me thinking that scum might be able to sabotage an attempt to confirm people with Recount if they have access to secret extra votes. The mod confirmed that an Insurgent-controlled secret vote would indeed count as "one or more Insurgents on the wagon." So if we want Recount, I think it would be wise to either switch to Election Security over Trading Outpost today or postpone it to D4, unless we're okay with taking that risk.

That would also address the potential for scum to screw the elimination up entirely with secret votes. Like if we only have one person on in order to use Recount to confirm them, but there's 1.5 secret votes they could just flip whomever.

That would mean we'd be left with on Sacrifice as a second project tomorrow though, with no budget left after recount.

If we get the Census right, we basically split the living playerlist in half, with 2 scum confirmed in one group and 1 scum confirmed in the other group. If we get it wrong, there's a fair bit of ambiguity there and I don't think we learn much. Census feels like a scam to me.

There is also the option of going through with Torture + Trading Outpost today, doing Election Security + another development or maybe something murdery tomorrow, and then Recount on D4. We do only get results on D5 if we do that though, so there are definitely pros and cons.
