There’s one thing I’ll say about 30. It’s public knowledge that there’s a 3P in the game. I think Scum are more likely to theorize about the 3P in the Scum chat, because they may (or may not) have information themselves that may shed some light as to how the 3P works. Unless a Scum player thinks that Town may compliment their view of the 3P (which I find unlikely), I agree Scum almost never makes that post.

Katy, why are these the questions you are choosing to ask? I feel like there’s a lot you could possibly sink your teeth into and yet, the only probes you’ve probed don’t really seem oriented towards solving the game

Honestly I think I get into this weird headspace when I feel intimidated (not sure if this is the right word?) by a lot of the early posting in the game.

As for why I'm not solving I think I just take a while to get rolling. Part of it is definitely just my personal view that it's hard for me to be objective and really tell what's going on until I've had some time to digest and get comfortable.

I think that the posts were separate! It seemed like BlueSnakelet posted that Ranger was making a joke which was obvious, but then pondered whether the Professor had passed the joke down later!

If it was making the posts especially to show off the second part, the posts would be together!

I was taught to try to read hearts that way by someone else once..

After seeing her do it in a previous version of this setup, I think it is just her fucking around and is NAI.

this post stands out to me the most, it gives me vibes of scum getting pressed on an early game throwaway comment and trying to handwave away a probing question

I might not be understanding some context though - did you actually play in the game where Ranger made the same opening post previously? And do you have any comment on Ranger's 171 to explain what you mean?

one other thought - I think scum are more likely to shade someone for fishing the way Drew did in 33. In general I don't think rolefishing is particularly AI - town are more uninformed than scum, only have the main thread to discuss/theorize about mech, and scum are also often too scared to do anything that might be perceived as rolefishing, like I doubt that a lot of players would be confident enough to post 30 as mafia. So I didn't find either of 30/31 suspicious and Drew's post feels like he's trying to leverage a convenient buzzword accusation as a means to fake scumhunt. I'd have been more likely to buy it as genuine if Drew had voted ina, but he didn't.

The bit about role phishing was a snarky way of asking what they were doing, talking about Ina here, but once they clarified who they were it made me feel better that it wasn't scum motivated. I didn't like how Dann was trying to fast track the wagon, and that is less about their vote but more about how, again, Ina can be.

And I wanted a response from Ina before I voted them or not.

Also I think I know where you are going as far as Ranger goes, no I wasn't in that game but bluesnake quoted the post from the other game they made. Once I could tell it was just Ranger joking around, it instantly became NAI.

I think the Titus post reads the most innocently if she was joking about resisting flattery. If she was serious, I think I agree she seemed to be serving two gods in one breath, and one as a virtue show off.

Ina's not off the hook with me as filler mechanics talk is something I would love as scum. It demotivates town and gets info at the same time. I'm not lock scumming her but I'd like to see that brain process interactions as she's smart enough to.

This just seems like bad faith arguing. First, exactly what interactions are there for ina to try and process? There sure isn't a whole lot!

Plus, it seems like you're trying to mischaracterize ina's posts as "filler mechanics talk" but her posts aren't that at all. ina is talking about other people's behavior in the context of the mechanics, and actively trying to form reads based on that. It's not like ina is posting walls about the raw mechanics of the game, she's trying to understand Ranger's behavior around the mech.
