Sorry I've been trying to figure out one of two High Schools I could go to and had a writing assignment so I haven't been able to post much, teachers are laying lots of tests on us too. But MeMe I said I thought your ideas were good on lazarus so I voted him even though I didn't think there was strong evidence to merit a vote there was some suspicion on him so I thought I might as well vote someone who might be scum rather than vote for just some guy I picked at random. If any of you see a proble mwith that go ahead and vote me.

MeMe, do you keep some sort of notes or something? I would have never found that out, unless rereading.

And Dour said he'd be back today to check, but it doesn't seem like he has.

Hello, all.

I quickly reread the thread just now, and nothing jumped out at me... and, by the way, MeMe, I can't find the "View All Posts By" feature, where is it?

I should be able to post more regularly now... sorry for holding things up.

Hey. It's Cubs with a slightly different name. I'm going to have to read what's happened since my account's gone inactive.

I'm all for the cop not revealing his investigations for the moment.

Given the fact that I am suspicious of the guys who jumped so quickly on the bandwagon against me, and given MeMe's points...
vote: mlaker

I'm also a bit wary of the dynamic btw MeMe and Stewie. Does anybody else notice how often Stewie mentions or defers to her in a number of his posts? Is this scummy or merely sycophantic?
There are so many questions I'd like to ask, but we are left watching the checkered board. Our eyes pass over the symmetry. I wish it were possible to achieve such mimicry, to move our pieces in peace ├óÔé¼ÔÇ£ my bishops to church, your wild horses to stable.

I've noticed it, laz and it's either that 1) Stewie agrees with my points or 2) He's scum trying to take me down with him if he goes/make himself look better if
I
go.

I've never seen Stewie be a mindless follower, so that's an exceedingly remote possibility, in my opinion.

Dourgrim -- it's a drop-down feature at the bottom of the last post on any page called "display" and you can change it to feature just one player's posts.

It's number one. There's two sides to the issue: cop claiming results = good and cop claiming results = bad. I believe in the latter, and it so happens that MeMe does too.

That's not what I'm talking about, HM. The drop-down menu to which I referred is thread-specific and is located right below the last post on any page -- at least when you don't display "quick-reply" (I don't know how the page looks when the reply box is shown).

Can we get a vote count, please?

Mole wrote:I don't think we can make any assumptions based on the role breakdown since we don't know what methods were used to assign roles. It could be that Speedy intentionally picked two or three roles to be the mafia so the game would be balanced (in which case I doubt the Actor would be mafia, it's an odd role to use anyway, since it's almost completely useless), or it could be done like mathcam's games where everyone is assigned a role, and then the mafia are assigned randomly.
I find this odd. Why couldn’t MeMe be scum? As a matter of fact, if there are no hidden pro-town roles, I would expect the mafia to have at least one player that is less powerful in game to balance things out, especially if Speedy assigned the mafia to particular roles beforehand. I think this makes MeMe and Stewie both no less innocent than the rest of us. And why only clear MeMe. Stewie also has a role with restrictions.

It also appears that Mole is trying to get in really tight with the cop. Are you trying to avoid being investigated?
Xanthe wrote:Would the people against HM revealing feel differently if he survives until tomorrow and reports that he has two useful investigations?
If both investigatees are still alive, and if we don’t hit scum with our lynch today, we have one of the following situations:
1. Out of the 9 alive, there will be two innocents and 3/7 scum (assuming a regular mini setup with one mafia consisting of three scum).
2. If the investigation comes up guilty, we lynch the guilty party, no questions asked, but I don’t think we should reveal the innocent.

In both instances, we’ll likely wake up day 3 with only 5 of us left alive. Out of those five, there are either three scum (game over) or two scum alive. I think that if we don’t lynch scum today and HM does not investigate scum tomorrow, we may want to know who the two innocents are to narrow down our scum choices as we’ll have to lynch scum on day 2.

Of course, all this can be thrown into the water if the set-up does not include three mafia, but instead has two mafia or a single serial killer.

With this being “Open Role” mafia as Malaprop pointed out, I don’t think there will be too many hidden pro-town roles at all, certainly not a doc or cop hidden as we do have a doc, nurse, cop and sherrif already in this town. The only hidden pro-town role that I could possible see is a group of masons.

Unvote: Lazarusmoth
at this time. I don't think it would be a bad lynch, as has been pointed out, if he's scum, his role could be really bad for the town, but he has said that he wouldn't use his ability.

I'll
vote: Mole
at this time.
I need a new tagline...

I thought we had mafia and a SK for sure, because of zedmango's death scene:
They find him in his home, gruesomely stabbed with multiple knife wounds, and with a bullet to the head to boot.
I took the knife wounds + bullet to mean that zedmango was targetted by both.

Jaguar, I think that the reason that MeMe pointed out that her role is restricted is because her role is extremely restricted. I can vote whenever I want, except for the last vote. Given the way I usually vote, this is not a problem to me. But meme can't do anything unless we all agree on it first. However, this doesn't clear meme anyway, because a weakened scum role could be used to balance out a strong mafia (assume, for example, that laz is mafia. Or that dour is mafia. Those are really strong roles to have as mafia, so they could be balanced with a weak role, such as meme's).

I find it suspicious that laz didn't like it when MeMe said he looked suspicious but when she says I look suspicious its totally fine lets jump on the bandwagon! Can we get a vote count, if I'm not still voting laz I'll vote him.

I'm back from travelling and hopefully done for a while, ugh.

I'm still happy with my vote on MeMe., though I'm going to be quiet until I can get a reread in.

Xanth -- good eye on the death scene. I agree that we probably have an SK and mafia.

Stewie -- to what are you referring when you say "MeMe pointed out that her role is restricted"?

I just want to clarify that I feel as though I'm having a decent impact on this game despite not being able to vote at will. My open role doesn't feel like a handicap so much as an inconvenience.

Thanks, MeMe... I knew that function
had
existed, but for some reason I couldn't find it. D'oh!

I'm going to
vote: mlaker
for a number of reasons: asking for a vote count
four posts
after our Esteemed Modness posts one (with no votes inbetween, I might add), a lot of "nothing posts", and a vague scummy feeling I can't quite name... and, yes, a bit of bandwagonning. :)

Jag: Huh? I'm trying to get in really tight with the cop? What I'm arguing for is that we make use of the role while we still can--even if he's scum, we can keep that possibility in mind and make a better decision that way.
mole is now sleeping with the fishes.

I don't know that mlaker is scum, but it does seem like he's just not paying attention at all. Which, hmm, could be an indication of scumminess -- it doesn't really matter what happens during the day to scum unless one of their own is targetted. Whereas for town it's all that matters. E'll take a shot and join the bandwagon.

unvote: MeMe

vote: mlaker

And I'll point out that he's one vote away from lynch.

OK - so it looks like I can vote mlaker at this point. If he hasn't posted something of import by deadline, I'll put the last on (since Speedy has said a majority's necessary even in deadline situations).
