Sure, we all have our rules. Our own personal reasons that don't necessarily have to do with our win condition.
I have similar rules, one is that when it's game time. It's game time and everyone is playing the game. This protects me from taking things personally and allows me to ask questions people might be uncomfortable being asked or that I might be uncomfortable asking, it helps me question players like LLD without running directly for the hills. I also recognize that for some people game time, is not strictly game time and that by me treating it like it is I might piss someone off, but that's okay. I need the helmet.
Anyways, Bell I don't agree with your point that having a negative reaction to something is a "choice" that someone has made rather than being a reaction.

@Dunnstral: It's kind of obvious on its face isn't it? There's no reason to take offense at being called anti-town if you're scum. Except because taking offense is what town would be expected to do. The policy itself or being policy limmed is what seemed to especially bother GL, as they felt it was a rejection of who they were. They tried to examine why I was asking them the questions I was asking them and somehow reached the conclusion I was trying to make them feel ashamed (I wasn't). There's also just the case of ego, I'm not sure or rather I don't think GL would choose to come off that way. in addition if he's scum there's almost no way it's a negative reaction. Because what would it be a negative reaction to? Catboi being right?
@ Dunn: Oh no, I was conflating.
Emotions are a reaction to something.
But emotions are a sort of additional sense, like taste or smell. they're telling you something, but how you choose to respond to your emotions is in your control.

What did you town read them for, then, Pooky? you implied in a post that you disagreed with, like, the idea of checking for anger because it encourages the children, but I dunno what you're thinking about GL then.

Preliminary reads based off what I've read so far:
Meuh — Probably town for claim; I don't think she would fakeclaim something like that
Pooky — Probably also town for claim
Dunn — I like their analysis, so maybe town
Luke — Null; I thought his predecessor was nullish and I haven't really caught up to when he starts posting
Bell — Null; Seems pretty chill, not sure what to make of it as I tend to associate town!Bell with being somewhat aggressive
GL — I've liked his early posts, so maybe nulltown?
Ydra — I feel like from her interactions with Cakez, they feel unaligned
Cakez — I tend to SR him because he usually feels scummy to me; I'm going to try to avoid confbiasing myself this time
Reading Luke's posts, I feel like his argument with catboi over the Dunn vote actually feel kinda towny. In that, it feels like he has genuine concern over catboi's motivations. And his 651 and 652 feel like he's trying to be nuanced, which doesn't really seem like something scum would do? Especially, since he could've take advantage of the increasing pressure.
But I'm leaning towards moving Luke up to my TRs.
I feel shitty about catboi replacing out and I was out of line taking it personally
I also don't really think catboi would have reacted like that as mafia UNVOTE:
"I think I no longer believe in monsters as faces in the floor or feral infants or vampires or whatever. I think at seventeen now I believe the only real monsters might be the type of liar where there's simply no way to tell. The ones who give nothing away"
I don't think I want to push anywhere tonight but I'm around for a bit

also @Bell you don't need to apologize you didn't do anything wrong, you're correct to have the "game is the game" mindset
